Yeah it does. I have an RT carb and the SBP throttle. You just have to remove the little hook thing that the cable goes into from the RT carb, and replace it from one with the NT

Finally got it and is SUCKING BIG TIME! It started first time but whoa that idle is way high. Backed that idle screw all the way out, screwed in the cable tensioners, same problem. Could someone tell me whats up wit this? I installed the #70 jet already. What are the symtoms of an air leak? Other than the idle, i ran it down the street and it felt wayyy stronger than my old cns.
I had the same trouble with an RT .I found the cable needed a bit of modding (internal cable was too short) the slide was not fully seating into the bottom of the carb. Take the air filter of and have a look.

You've most likely got an air leak at the mouth of the carb on the intake pipe, it's quite possible it's sucking air from around there somewhere. You'll have a high idle problem and you'll be running very lean. Best way to check is to spray carb cleaner or WD-40 or some type of spray around the intake pipe and carb. When you here the idle change you found your leak.

I've just installed the dax performance carb, and now I have the bike I always intended when I started this project. No more stalling, pulls me up hills like I'm on a rope, and FAST!!! Thanks, DAX for giving me the performance boost I've been lacking. And what a price! A true Dellorto is like $100 and I already am embarrassed at how much I've spent on this bike. For a really fair price I have an easily expensive improvement. This is my 3rd carb, the first was broken by an engineer trying to help me with it, the 2nd I screwed up by trying the stock carb mod described in this forum, drillng up from the float bowl to the intake. I'm so pleased with the DAX carb, everyone should get one!
Yah you should have a good strong bike around Newport those are some major hilly roads around there. Have you rejeted it yet?
I haven't re-jetted yet tex, haven't felt the need. I know most have gone to one of the other jets included with it, but the one it arrived with installed seems to work perfectly. There are some near vertical hills I did have to help it with, but only a little on the most extreme hills. I suppose I'll get around to trying the other ones, but I'm so pleased with the performance I don't want to jinx it!
You won't have to worry about messing it up. The trick is to lean it out via re-jet until it no longer 4 strokes you know that kinda farting running sound. Like right now I'm running with a #68 jet the #65 worked good but I could tell it was a little sluggish and the #70 still 4stroked. So there somewhere along that line is the balance. Not lean, not rich. And if your wondering how I got the #68 jet. I took the #60 I had which obviously wasn't good for me, I took it and with acetylan files, which can be purchased at your local parts store, opened it up a little bit at a time so it was in between #70 and #65. Runs like a Bee out of H***.
I hear ya, Tex, I'll try the other jets to see what really gives the best performance. I suppose there is a tiny bit of 4 stroking at the highest RPMs but it's still so much better than my other carb(s) that it really isn't a hinderance.
Which ever the Dellorto uses they are interchangeable with these, I've just seen a real Dellorto and could not tell the difference.
The Factory uses both. You only need to drop your bowl and unscrew the jet and look to see what you have. It will be either M5 or M6 .
Does anyone have a picture of the throttle cable in that attaches to the slide for this carb? Trying to make my own with the copper wire and solder trick.

Just received my new RT carb from Duane. First off, Duane is the man! Very helpful with my carb troubles and is quick to answer emails and calls back if you leave a message. Instead of pushing me to order a new carb he first tried to trouble shoot my NT carb but I could not get it running right. I ordered the RT and new cable and will be installing it soon. Thanks Duane!
Installed my carb today with the SBP throttle. Requires a little modification. I ended up taking the cable guide from the NT carb, twisting the nut on it to the bottom, cutting the rest of the thread off, then removing the nut. From there I removed the RT carb guide and screwed in the modified NT piece. Works great!
The carb itself made my bike sound much better! My bike ran well as it was but this carb is fantastic. And the auto choke bit is great, very easy to use. If I were to comment on performance, I would say it's great! Although I am not sure yet if I could reach a higher speed with the old NT carb.. Definitely a bit more torque and better fuel delivery on hills. Might be time to get a small sprocket.

mine ran best on the leanest jet, and my motor was highly modified. if its 4-strokin your runnin fat
Got my carb hooked up. Runs better but not great. Still lacking the punch it used to have. Tested for air leak and of course the motor stalls right out when spraying where the carb throat attaches to the intake tube. Put seal all on the outer surface of tube and am waiting for it to cure hopefully it will run better. top speed went from 19 to 21 but going into the wind it can barely make headway.
The 70 is leaner. Make sure you don't back idle screw out so far it falls out like i did with rt.
