Plans have changed, there will be one more Morini possible
Our Vegas plans are on the rocks... We might be able to make this one!!
That's great news from both of you.
Sounds like a lot of Morini's will be there.

Correction: Willow Springs gates open at 6.30am on Saturday June 18th.
Gates close at midnight for those coming in late Friday night who are
camping.

Track cruising time for all starts at 8am sharp.

Only 44 days to go and I am not going to the track tomorrow to check it out.

Still looking for our own EMT as we will save about $350 off the total cost.

Exciting news!

agk of www.AffordableGoKarts.com has generously agreed to sponsor the
4 stroke class race and donate some prizes.

Affordable Go Karts is one of the few places to sell hop up parts for the
Honda GX 50 and Huasheng 50 cc clones. They also sell accessories
and performance parts for the increasingly popular Harbor Freight Greyhound 79 cc motor.

Death race was a blast and we are really looking forward to Willow Springs. We hope to have three different 4-stroke bikes to enter. We are working on getting the bikes ready.

We will be offering a few different prizes for the 4-stroke class. We don't handle any 2-stroke stuff so most of our parts only work with 4-strokes.

If any of you 4-stroke guys need help getting your motors dialed in feel free to contact us ([email protected]). We are happy to offer tuning advice to help get you up to speed.

We look forward to seeing all of you out there.

What's the fee for spectators? At this time I'm not interested in participating in the race but think it'd be fun to watch.

My best friend Chuck sent me a pic of a Board Tracker on E bay. I sent him the link to this thread. The first GP event he ever road was at Willow. I told him he could use one of my bikes or get the one he was showing me to ride, LOL. I went to the Go Carts page and they have a good deal on a 30mm carb kit. Have fun

Hi daRog

If you have a bike and want to race or just cruise on the track its $25 if you prepay.

If you pay the fee on Friday or Saturday it will be $4 more at $29 to cover paying
someone to sit there and collect the money and register you.

If you just want to be a spectator its only $10 and you can prepay to help
put on the event. This gives you entry to the pits and free overnight camping.

If you have friends that are racing or cruising you can get in as their pit worker for free.
Also if you want to help out as a lap counter, corner flag worker, etc, let me know and
I will get you in for free too.

Hope to see you there! It is going to be a fun weekend.
thanks

Any graphic pros that would like to design a PDF flyer for the event?

Please post here or send me a PM and we can discuss the info that
needs to be on the flyer.

Once the flyer is designed you can print some out and post them at your
local bicycle, motorcycle shop or anywhere else to get publicity for the race.

thanks

Have you guys found an EMT for the event yet? Maybe try Craigslist and just pay $150 for one local? I don't know how much they usually make, but getting paid $150 to just stand around sounds pretty good to me! Do they need special equipment or just be certified? I know of one here local that might be interested for $200, would certainly be cheaper... but free is always better.

Did you guys go out there yesterday?

Hi etard lol

You are in Yucaipa, CA, so are you going to be there?
How many ebikes do you know of locally that are coming?

Did not make it out to the track yet again...trying for next
Thursday or Friday. Whoever goes will get a lot of track time
for free. What a deal......

Do not have an EMT. Cheaper is good but free would be
better. A few people have said they can help but nothing
certain for now.

How many eBikes will be racing? Would help to know so the track
schedule can be planned.
Do you think 10 or more eBikes will show? Could you do a little
promotion on endless-spheres and get them together?
Thanks

Yes indeed, right down at Qualcomm Stadium. That 1 mile track layout looks great and it runs counter-clockwise.

They've been doing car racing in the parking lot for decades now.....was unaware they were doing SMX down there now. Yes, this is a workable venue for our little sport and really close to home :D

dnut

This could be our next race track after willow....hey Scotto...yo... bro
its right down the street from your house...check out the track lay-out

SMX Racing - Southern California Supermoto Racing

Also look at how they plan the day.

Thanks a lot to magrider for coming forward to lay out the races, heats,
track time and schedule for the Sat June 18th Willow Springs race.

I appreciate magrider's experience with starting grid options.
magrider and I have decided to do a Supercross style line up.

I have tried to talk to as many of you that would respond to get
a general feeling for what everyone wanted to do.

Going to keep it fun and only have simple rules for the first event.

Serious racers will be required to help out with the scoring, corner
working and flagging, etc when they are not racing.
Riders who just want to cruise the track can help out but are not
required to.

There is limited track time and the event is not only about the
hard core racers. For motorized bicycle racing to be successful
All of the motor bike community needs to be included and
catered to.
I have another great announcement here soon. Stay Tuned!

There are many viewpoints and riders that want their particular
interests served so I will be the final decision maker on these matters.

All input is welcomed and this statement will probably be revised.
Thanks
I feel that is way too early to start making too many rules or classes.

Entry fees are $25 if prepaid.
$29 for those that pay on Friday or Saturday race day

Spectators are $10 if they are not apart of a pit crew or working.

Free car or tent camping on Fri and Sat included with your entry!

1st Heats & Race. Electric
2nd Heats & Race. 4 stroke
3rd Heats & Race. China 2 stroke [ broken into 2 groups due to number of riders. ]
4th Heats & Race. Unlimited gas which will include electric if less than 10 ebikes show.

The fastest 8 or 9 from the 4 classes will advance to be a field
of 32 to 36 riders in the 'Ultimate Race', 'Trophy Dash'
