Even if you have a spare $2000 to donate to a race on Streets of Willow
it is all booked every weekend until August I think.
It is not possible to rent a portion of that track either.

The June 18th date I got for the track was about the only one left.
June still has not too hot weather if the infamous "June Gloom" kicks in.
July is getting too hot already.

The Go Kart track is the only one that will work for this first event.
Pulling this event off in less than 2 months is going to be tough
and we may have to come up with as much as $1500 if we can't
get our own volunteer EMT.

The Death Race track in Tucson is 0.798 miles and 13 turns.
The Go Kart track at Willow Springs is 0.675 miles and 9 turns.

It's a great course and we are going to get to ride on it next week
and check out all the facilities at Willow Springs.
Will post up a bunch of photos and give some ride impressions of the
track. Probably will have some Death Race veterans there.

It's taken weeks and a lot of work just getting this far with the
5 million dollar insurance policy in place. The insurance company
didn't know what to charge bicycles with motors, but I was pleasantly
shocked by the low price for the day! Same price for 75 riders or 200.

If you want to help out please publicize the event and get your buddies
with bikes to attend. Should only cost $20 to ride on the track.

You are more than welcome to donate more if you can.
All extra money if any will go towards a much bigger event later this year.

Are you coming? Hope to see you there!
Hey bimoped, I will come if i can get the time off and find all my bolts after the last death race. Im # 24 with the camaphlauge helmet and came in 11th. I asked sosauty what place i came in but he was unsure after 8th. but scotto's vid showed exactly who lead and who broke down.

Bolts?
You gonna let a few lousy bolts stop you from racing at Willow Springs? lol
11th was a good finish!

We are going to try very hard to have accurate lap scoring.

There will be separate race classes for 2 strokes, 4 strokes
and an unlimited class that will include ebikes as well as the top
finishers from the 2 and 4 strokes.

If ebikes have a large enough showing there may be a class for
them too if time allows.

Yeah it's alot easier to see who placed where in my vid as it was continuous and un-edited.....it really looks like I placed 12th overall or maybe 13th. And my bike was running terrible....I haven't pedaled that hard since I raced mtn. bikes, seriously! Very frustrating, esp with the tandem taking a dump...:(

Good news, there is NO $10 gate fee for riders that pay the $25 fee
I have the exclusive use of the Go Kart track.
All riders that pay the $25 fee to race or cruise on the track will get a number.
Riders can bring a few pit workers for free too.

Even better the tent or car camping on a asphalt lot is included for riders too
so that is free as well.
RV hookups are available for only $25.

There are also motels near the track for those who want more comforts.

can I reserve #8
You surely can. What tires will you be running this time?
Your slicks wearing through must have been a huge disappointment
Are you bringing a spare set?

Was planning to start assigning numbers, collecting $25 entry fee
and making a post of everyone that is coming for sure.

$25 if you pay by check, money order or cash.
If you want to pay more it will help out.

Planning on having more than 100 for sure!

Going to be more if you pay on June 16th race day at the track.
Looking for someone to volunteer to be the person that collects
the money at the track.
I won't have time to sign people in except
on Friday the day before the race.

Was planning to start assigning numbers, collecting $21 entry fee
and making a post of everyone that is coming for sure.

The $21 includes $1 for credit card fees.
$20 if you pay by check, money order or cash.
If you want to pay more it will help out.

Need to get at least 30 riders to pre-pay
and to have 75 or more.

The last thing I thought would fail me was my tires. so it was a dissapointment and a learning experience. I don't know what tires to run, I've been looking nonstop since we got home and haven't decided yet. problem is I can't run a tire fatter than 2.0, so I have few options. my last resort is to bring extras, but I have to modify my frame first because the way it is set up now takes way to long to change a tire due to the c*nt hair tolerences........... checks in the mail, where do I send it

hookworm makes a decent tire but not the slicks you were running
wish someone in the industry would take notice that this is a legitimate sport and start supplying decent m.b. parts this chinese stuff was ok to experiment with but has proven not to hold up well on the track. maybe avon would be interested in providing bicycle racing tires

I am planning to be at the willow springs track fri the 17th late afternoon
leaving early any one from az that needs a ride get in touch through this post
or call me at 4806880976

I don't lose money! ;)
OK, so are you and your girlfriend coming?
You can go win money in Lost Wages anytime LOL
but
VeniceMotorBikes has to be at the first ever Motorized Bike race
in Southern California at Willow Springs!

If you local guys don't show and make it a success there may
not be another one in the fall when it cools off at Willow Springs.

Planning on making it a biannual event.

There will be plenty of time for you guys that want to cruise the track
and not race.

Planning on starting the day on Saturday June 18th with just cruising around
the track for everyone at 8am sharp.
