Hey bimoped, I will come if i can get the time off and find all my bolts after the last death race. Im # 24 with the camaphlauge helmet and came in 11th. I asked sosauty what place i came in but he was unsure after 8th. but scotto's vid showed exactly who lead and who broke down.Even if you have a spare $2000 to donate to a race on Streets of Willow
it is all booked every weekend until August I think.
It is not possible to rent a portion of that track either.
The June 18th date I got for the track was about the only one left.
June still has not too hot weather if the infamous "June Gloom" kicks in.
July is getting too hot already.
The Go Kart track is the only one that will work for this first event.
Pulling this event off in less than 2 months is going to be tough
and we may have to come up with as much as $1500 if we can't
get our own volunteer EMT.
The Death Race track in Tucson is 0.798 miles and 13 turns.
The Go Kart track at Willow Springs is 0.675 miles and 9 turns.
It's a great course and we are going to get to ride on it next week
and check out all the facilities at Willow Springs.
Will post up a bunch of photos and give some ride impressions of the
track. Probably will have some Death Race veterans there.
It's taken weeks and a lot of work just getting this far with the
5 million dollar insurance policy in place. The insurance company
didn't know what to charge bicycles with motors, but I was pleasantly
shocked by the low price for the day! Same price for 75 riders or 200.
If you want to help out please publicize the event and get your buddies
with bikes to attend. Should only cost $20 to ride on the track.
You are more than welcome to donate more if you can.
All extra money if any will go towards a much bigger event later this year.
Are you coming? Hope to see you there!
