I've been married for 17 years and I could buy pretty much anything I want and all I get is a head shake.
...but then again, my wife knows or thinks I'm a cheapo. Haha

You guys think my bike is expensive? Check out this store in Dallas, actually Garland. You have to scroll down to the bottom of the page to get to the cheap $5000 bicycles. I've been out riding my motorized bicycles to the chic spots in town, and only smucks are riding cheap $2500 bikes. You got to have a $5000 and up bicycle to be a real player in Dallas.

One of the best 10 grand I ever spent. Sometimes I go out to the garage in the middle of the night and just look at it.

Bonneville's are very popular here in Dallas too. I see more of them than Speed Triples.
 
I say as long as you ride it and enjoy it, then it's worth the money. My co-worker dropped $9.5k on a Cervelo road bicycle and he has no regrets and I'm pretty sure there are thousands of men and women that are willing to spend that much on a road bicycle. So what's the difference? I don't get the Road Bicycle hype but "YOLO" as my kids would say.

$12,000 for a bike that you have to pedal? LOL

I don't care if the whole thing weighed just 3 lbs. You still gotta power it with your own legs. People are obviously paying it or it wouldn't be selling for that price. Mind boggling.
