My Dad has them on his 1936 Ford Coupe and his 1930 AA ford 2 ton Truck, only difference is, his have the clear plastic coating (or whatever it is ?) to keep the laquar coating from cracking, I certainly will start doing more! research before purchasing in the future,sometimes I forget that I litterally have the world at my finger tips with a computer, My only cocern at this point is will the wire deliver an adiqaute flow of ignition? as I will be running the Jaguar ignition system

That you will have to search but keep in mind that most are running HEI distributers they even have then for flat heads now..........Curt

Well since it's not a High Performance Electrical Ignition system I should be ok in that aspect.

Just finished with the mock up on crank case,next post with pic's will be the finished set up with crank case. just browsing through my pic's it amazes me that the bike has come so far but yet still has a ways to go.

Similarities between Indian and Thor (Aurora Machine & Tool company) are not surprising as a relationship began when in the first few years of Indian they used Thor’s renown bicycle hubs.

1902 -1905 Thor motorcycles were a licensed Indian clone with very minor differences between them, in turn Thor foundries supplied a percentage of Indian’s engines.

Interestingly in 1902 a Thor could be bought as a kit complete with frame lugs & tubing to be braised together by the customer. This has caused some confusion as some of the very first small run brands were basically Thor (ala Indian) kits re-badged.

Wouldn’t it be cool to find one of those kits in the back of a old barn!

WOW! thanks for that information,I've been watching the History Chanels "The Men Who Made America" and it seems as though while they are describing the industrial revolution of America (and the world) that they've left out the Motorcycling industry altogether, what ashame!! and these days this particular part of history seems to be getting swept under the rug.

Here is what I did all day long, got the mounting brackets drilled and fitted, lotta shine! it was tuff try'n to get a picture at the right angle without the glair

Today's latest.........
Mess'n rond with the Throttle and housing, metal Throttle tube was tappered at the bottom end so it wouldn't fit onto the handle bars,I decided that I'd use the plastic one that came in one of my engine kits but that just wasn't going to work
(CHEAP! TOO! CHEAP!) so I went to a motorcycle shop and the owner had a 1" metal Throttle tube and a noodle that he found in his Mics/Junk box well it would work but was a little sloppy so I used the plastic one for an inner sleeve slid the grip on and it works perfect! cut the noodle down with the Drimel,hoened out the throttle cable adjuster thingy and slide in with just enough bite that it won't come out.
When I get the intake manifold tube cut and re-welded then I'll hook the cable up to the Delorto carb

After watching the news about huricane Sandy, I would like to extend my Sympathy for all those who must endure the hardships of the storm and it's aftermath and I wish the best for you all as well as for a speedy and safe recovery to all in the middle and eastern states effected by this storm.
We are a Great Nation! and in times such as these, American's will pull together through good times and bad times, God Bless You All!!

Here is the right side,still have to add some stuff to the right side,it's comming! My buddy will start the air brushing tomorrow on the right side then I'll start the plumbing for the oil primer which will be a wiring tunel for the electrics on the CDI and coil,going to try to hide the electrics as much as possible
Got my 20cc veteranary syringe today it is 5 1/2" long and 1 3/4" around(wide) and will have to go the Home Depo to get my mounting bracket.
I need feed back on the Faux crank case and mounts now that it's together on the right side anyway.

if you look at the real 1911 single cylinders (left side) they had a 4 point sun burst on the crank case casting so my buddy is going to do some air brushing to replicate that and add some 3 demensional affects, here is a pic of a big twin with a 6 point star burst on the crank case, my plumbing will be like this as well from oil primer to crank
