I scrapped all fabricated parts for the clutch pulley system and started over, as the only part moving was the cable stop bracket,well the metal was to thin to hold up to the tension when pulling the clutch lever, so using the brake arm off a junk bike I've re- engineered the system all over and now it is working nicely.
I'll post pic's tomorrow but for right now for all those guy's who know absolutely nothing about their Western Flyer Bicycle sitting in the garage, here's a pic of who sold the bicycles, gee's you could even get a lawn mower in any color you wanted there.

That store looks identical to a Western Auto that was still in business in the 1980s, the store was located on route 17 in York County, VA.
Amazing that when the pic was taken they sold used tires!?

Here is every thing all re-done, works like a champ and best of all it doesn't look like I used one of those lawnmowers in front of western auto and I do like the vintage look of the clutch lever, even though the bikes didn't have 'em back then, these have a nice look that blends in to the bike as if they would have.

It is too clean to ride. The motor looks unreal, you did a good job on it. With a build of that quality are you going to be happy with that two stroke in it?

Well as I stated a couple of clicks back I made mention that this engine is no longer a Chinee engine but to answer your question, yes I'll be happy with this one , although the 2 strokes need a lot of attention, so I'll be switching up after the next build to 4 strokes.

OK! finally got my Faux Crank Case Mounting Brackets back from water jet cutting guy and I'm pretty pleased with how they're going to look, still have to get the center plate cut and powder coated then I'll have a buddy air brush some details, I'll use some weather stripping on the back where metal meets metal and minimize vibration then for mounting bolts I'll use through blots with acorn nuts and a touch of LocTite

Here is the Faux Crank Case Cover Mounting Brackets all polished and drilled, tomorrow I'll drill the holes into both sides of the frame then use through bolts with three brass acron nuts on the bottom of the loop and S/S for the center plate, I was even thinking about putting the Jaguar ignition system in between both plates, the coil will have to go in the oil box as the vintage cloth spark plug wire that I got from Pirate Cycle is to short to loop up to the top of the head from the bottom of the engine,the plug wire is only 11" once connected with the plug cap and incerted into the coil, I'll need at least 16" to run from the bottom.

Thats the one I purchased, so disapointed that it wasn't longer then what they sent, I paid over a dollar an inch, nothing against Pirate Cycle but I'll have to get stuff like this for the next build somewhere else from now on, found a spot that sells 24" for $9.99 same colors plus grey and blue.

Well today I fabbed the crank case plates that go inside the polished mounting brackets and tomorrow I'll drop them off for powder coating then I'll sweat talk my buddy and see if he will do some detail work to give it a little 3-d effect even though they're flat sided.
After my big disappointment with the length of the vintage clothe spark plug wire, Velodrome set me on the right path to get them for a $1.40 a ft insted of $12.99 a ft and a lot more colors

Velodrome, Just goes to show the comrodere we share on this forum and how one can grow dependent on the wealth of knowledge given and shared on this forum,I have also given advice to any and all interested in either building or buying a M/B to do some research on this forum FIRST! about obtaining the necessary knowledge about what you'll be spending your $$ on and what is required to maintain a M/B. and or what you'd like to build.
My next post (hopefully!) will be of the finished crank case, Man that was some hard work cutting the metal with a jig saw,hand filing,sanding and drilling, but still fun!
