Sportsman 200 on Steroids

The Bonneville Flyer received a lot of positive attention from spectators and racers and even some negative attention from past record holders.[/QUOTE]

Negative, really? They saw the writing on the wall and knew their record would be short lived. I guess there are bad sports everywhere.

Hey, I just texted back and forth with Pat and We all need to buy Him a beer for his super human speed record efforts. He shows up at the Whiz-in, so bring your brews :)

I just read that blog post... too cool. Those are some great photos too. When do we get to see the video?

Absolutely wonderful! Since we of this forum "knew you when" it makes us feel like we're all a part of this achievement, too, even if all we did was stand back and watch as one bike evolved into another and we cheered you on. You've come a long way, Pat. Who'd a thunk it just a few years ago?

Man, I have been waiting for this video for what seems like years! But I have to admit it was very nice to come into a job I hate this morning and find a little piece of happiness in my email.

Pat, if you want to swap for a day, I can do the job you hate and you can do mine (that I hate also). Then the next day we can both meet for lunch after getting fired from our respective jobs :P

Wow, thanks for all the comments! As Silverbear said it has been an evolutionary process in the design of my bikes, and I'd be lying if I said I haven't had any failures and mistakes along the way. As far as next year I do have a personal goal of SAFELY reaching 80 mph. Were very close.......

sounds like you have a real pro team assembled it will take alot of work for some one(or group) to knock you guys off the top and it sounds like you are still pushing for higher speeds sounds like you guys might have found a little more power in her some where im realy impressed with the flyer its a real deal racer i hope you guys keep at it and hit the 80MPH mark on the salt and keep pushing that record higher i hope you hold it for a few years at least :) i bet Burt Munro would be real impressed with what you guys built
