As far as the races go, I love how its competitive in its own cheap way. Lol, but to get serious about it, i would think its pretty foolish, I mean, this is a cheaper alternative to most motor-sports or should I say, motorized sport because realistically, it is a bike that still has pedals; if you cant pedal faster then your bike accelerates then whats the point even having them on? You might as well just invest into mopeds! This is a creative form of biking and cheaper form of transportation for those that do use their bikes on the city roads.

My bike is one of the slowest out there as you all know (not ashamed of it), but doesn't mean I still don't have fun dooking it out with the slower guys! I had a great time taking Sapparo (if thats how you spell your name, the guy with the mini schwinn cruiser with sissy bars) in the turns but he had a faster bike and was taking me out in the straights! I am not complaining about anything because I think Neil and everyone else that participates in making these races happen is doing a great job and its seems to be getting better ever time! If I were to add one thing, it would be a list of common curtsy rules while on the track. One major point would be for those that do get lapped, to give the right of way (which is what I have always done...you can even see it in the first race video at about 8:15, I clearly make way for the camera man). As for those that are holding down their position, they can by all means defend that position any way they can because it is a race! At that point, its ultimately up to each racers discretion to chose when to lay on the brakes or give-in on the throttle, yet alone, be able to read the persons line in front you and choose the best path with out taking anybody out. I would be pissed if someone washed out next to me with a faster bike because you would figure they should be able to handle it. I am very hesitant to make my death machine faster because honestly, I seen some people with super sweet/fast setups yet they cant hold a proper line....I dont care how fast you are, I wouldnt want to be dooking it out with you, I would rather much stay back with the slower guys.

I have worked as field tech/precision driver for a couple of years (contracted with Nissan/Infiniti, Subaru, and Audi) driven all sorts of cars that you cant imagine, from clay to concepts, to cars that are not even released to the general public. Also raced autocross for a while with a fully built crx (which I built over a period of 10 years) and chased corvettes all up and down the track. Was part of the production of the first Nissan GTR in the states, as well as the first 5 Audi V8, v10 R8's, also drove the only v12 turbo diesel Audi R8. I took part in the build of the first USDM Mine's GTR as well as the first USDM Mine's 350z that was displayed in the Nissan booth at Sema a few years ago. If you dont know what Mine's Japan is...google it. I have tons of experience on and off the track as well as racing with a competitive spirit! I would rather hold back those grudges against people that get in the way just so that everyone can have a good time! ITS MOTORBICYCLING! ITS ALL ABOUT FUN! AND SURE DO HAVE A FREAKIN GREAT TIME DOING IT! RAWWRRR! dnut

There weren't enough 2 strokes to separate them out at Grange.

The majority of the riders and bikes were 2 strokes. Bottom line is that Bairdco is right and you are wrong. By having "26" bikes in a single race was unsafe. IF there is a next time, please split up the 2 strokes to limit the crashes. It maybe fun to watch but when people are signing a waiver to liability it's on the rider

BTW. Working on a sponser for the race.

I think they should have ALL BIKES on the track at one time for 3 laps! Call it a parade run with a starter (hopefully the same one I saw in the pictures) and a checkered flag. Now that would be interesting!

Thanks for showing up and making the race so much fun for all of us!

You must be #96 on the 20" wheeled stingray bike.

The 2 stroke class will be split into two groups next race so slower
bikes will have just as much track time and fun as the faster and
more competitive racers.

If there is enough help at the track on the next race day the heats
will be used to stagger the starting line in grids or in at least 3 rows.

come on neil...if you have time to post pictures you have time to post the results...lets go you have sponsors waiting
I posted the winners in the 2 and 4 stroke classes that won prizes
from Sick Bike Parts and Manic Mechanic on Sunday 10-23-2011, 10:33 AM

1st in the 2 stroke race was magrider #1 plate from Willow Springs
but he is back to #8 for the next race because #109 PaulD won the
Ultimate Race on his very fast ebike.

2nd place in the 2 stroke race was Jim Rust #5 from La Habra.

3rd in the 2 stroke race was Rodney #86 from the Piston Bike crew.

4th in the 2 stroke race was bairdco #33

5th in the 2 stroke race was nashmoto #98 on a 4 stroke and 1st in the 4 stroke class

6th in the 2 stroke race was Flying Dutchman #32

7th in the 2 stroke race was Karen Hicks #29 who also raced at Willow Springs.
The 2nd Sick Bike Parts prize winner in the 50 cc 4 stroke class goes to BigBoy or scotto
who came in 3rd on his Huasheng.
I am not sure if the SBP 4 stroke prizes were only for the Honda or Huasheng 50 cc clones

I think it's 'No real motorcycle' tires but 2.75" mo-ped Pirellis OK. That'll get clarified before next event.

#74 Christophe had to be the winner of unlimited as #81 and #100 DNF'ed.

Hey MBR,

Tony Stewart #14 aka Smoke just won
I'd like to request number 140 for my next e-bike, thanks,

Notice the aluminum enclosed batt box!
