Thank you for the information about the milk. Sorry it affects you badly if you enjoy it. Truth is I haven't had a glass since I was 12 and I found out that it was one of the triggers for my grinding multi day migraine headaches.

Milk that has been processed don't faze me though. Cheese and ice cream being two personal favorites.:)

I pursued the Quest of the Pinotage today and it is every thing that Ludwig described. To my tastes it was on the other side of fantastic. The taste is indeed big and bold with a very pleasant after taste but that is just my opinion.

I purchased one from the Painted Wolf Cellars called The Den. It came with a 4.5 stars out of 5 stars rating but I'm going to try some of the others that had a less favorable rating.
The cost here in Canada was $16.10 with tax or 8.87 B.P.S. if your in the British Isles.

If you can find it in your local store or wine shop and you like a good red wine you should try it. As Ludwig said given the distribution around the world it may be hard to find. In the Government liquor stores in all of British Columbia there were 8 bottles of this brand listed as available. You just know you are living a good life when you are 8 blocks from the liquor store that has all of them.

The label on the bottle lists E.I. Wines, London England as the importer with a secondary label for an importer here in B.C.

The Pinotage sounded rather good to me too. I just may see if Crown Liquors has one. If not, I may investigate having an out-of-country friend send a bottle by UPS. I sometimes find that being on Face Book is good for something after all. :)

I don't know if UPS or the post office can ship alcohol because taxes haven't been payed on it to the state or province. I'll inquire at the post office and our local UPS store over the next couple of days. I think you may well want to find a local source though because I think it's that good.

I think I will make a few local inquiries. You may be right on the tax matter.
 
I checked and they won't allow alcohol to be shipped outside of Canada and only in Canada if you have a permit for liquor sales.

The liquor store may be able to order some in for you but probably in case lots.

Here are a few photos of the engine in the tri car. Genuine chrome in a can on the fake carb. I ordered a one piece wide crank since all I had were wide 3 piece cranks. It was $40.00 delivered but they only sell in Canada. Motor Bicycling Canada for my fellow Canuks.

I was cleaning up the last of the debris from the garage floor yesterday and found all the parts for a second jack shaft the I had cut out. Some times it pays to clean the place up. As a matter of fact when I went out to the garage this morning I was sure the magic elves had finally started to earn their keep and then I remembered that I'd done it under the influence of a few rum and cokes.
Lambs Navy Rum for the Inquiring minds.

A lot of running around tomorrow but I hope to get an early enough start on the day to get a little welding in.

Yes, the tattered overcoat of age makes for a clever disguise! Bright eyed boys hide in Grandpa's clothes, pretending to walk with a bent over limp and cane while laughing inside.

The engine looks so good sitting in the frame and the carb is a real plus... the angle is just right and helps to fill the space in the frame.

I do like that engine and the 147CCs should move it along nicely. Have you started it yet? When you get the chance, if you would, please remove the pull start shroud off the spare Jacobsen we cannibalized for parts to see if the flywheel is bell shaped like yours in these photos or flat like mine. If flat then I'll see if Rick has one to sell me. If bell shaped, then sometime over the course of the winter I'll remove the fins and then for sure will use it on the "kindalikeawhizzer" build along with a CVT. I may put a compression release valve on mine and then use the ratcheting hand crank for a starter. I'll be anxious to see what you think of the engine once you have it going. What a great tri-car! Must be nice to sit out there giving it the long stare, eh?

A day will come when we ride our tri-cars through little Ely, Minnesota and stop the traffic as we pass by. Woohoo!

I forgot to tell you about the fly wheel as we went along. It is regrettably the same as the one you have so you will need to find one that is not an electric start fly wheel.

Now I see it! It is quite small and not so cute as your DIY!
With position at crankcase, there must be some rotary disk inside to regulate "breathing" of engine, as in hot two-strokes from sixties (mopeds, motorcycles and go-karts...). My Trabant had similar system, just carburetor was on front side of crankcase, with two rotary disks inside (like kidneys), one for each cylinder...
