It's interesting how word order can change meanings.

In Britain and probably Oz, describing somebody as a big bag of tschitt means they're harmless and useless.

A tschittbag on the other hand is considerably more severe, to the point of helping one of them escape drowning by throwing them an anchor.

Just bought a new guitar today. I tried to learn about 10 years ago, but didn't have the time to devote to it at the time. One of my customers owns a music store and gave me a great deal on a Giannini acoustic guitar --- seems to be quite a bit better quality than the Fender I used to own. I think that I'll invest in some lessons this time for hopefully, lots better results!!

If your dogs start to howl unexpectedly, it'll probably just be me!!
 
You know, xseler, I've never gotten far with musical instruments. Like you, I haven't had the time to devote to it.

But I've noticed something new about the 'digital age' that makes it even more attractive. Sites like Youtube have plenty of fun tutorials.

Not too long ago I came across a handful of videos made by Jack Bruce (RIP, Jack. One of the very greatest) He had a six string guitarist and a drummer in a studio. They'd play some Cream chestnut and then Jack would step aside and show you how he played it. The camera would be on his fingers the whole time.

You can also find people who we don't recognize showing you the techniques used by some of those guitar heroes.

There's more than a lifetime of material to work with. It's a lot of fun.
 
Hey X get ready for sore fingers! I don't pick mine up near enough to keep my fingers from hurting after only a little while. I marvel at the guys that can play for what seems like forever. The older I get the stiffer my fingers are which makes cording harder, I'm no good at it but I like to try.

my teeth haven't been much trouble. They just fall out one by one from time
to time, but, happily because I save them, I can truthfully declare, " I still
have all my teeth!" There are even several still in my mouth.

No, that's just how he was. Mind you, in Roman era Colchester, the Vigili Urbani regularly had to haul young men in front of the magistrates for charging all over the town on their horses.
 
I'm guessing there was road rage not long after people first made roads, meaning for a couple thousand years. I bet if an ox cart were blocking the road as a hurried Roman messenger were trying to get by, things would have gotten heated.
 
The city of Rome permitted the movement of animals into the markets only at night. It left the roads and streets clear for normal traffic in the daytime. I don't know if anyone was up early cleaning the Animal Residue.
 
Probably. at it's height, fully 1/3 of Roman citizens were on a government
payroll. This was more responsible for the fall of the empire than the
barbarian invasions.
 
I've quit playing, Arthritis is the killer for me, Selling off my Gear, they need to be played so i'm finding them a Good Home.!!
