Well poor girl is down for a few. My motor has ungodly hp so I anticipated some belt slippage. I also new a 2 3/4” pulley was pushing it. Yesterday it started slipping bad. So I removed awesome clutch cover.lol to reveal a small problem... washes used as spacers we’re sandwiched to tight?? which resulted in a lathe type action on my pedal shaft...See picture...also pictures of how belt was riding and how will be.on new pulley 3 3/4”...

Moto your just at that new build, fine tune of everything stage; when seemingly trivial things start demanding attention. Pulley wise, says the old owl, is try it and learn things. In your X's case some larger diameter appears needed.

I've used washers as spacers and sometimes they work fine, but clearance spacers of softer, yet durable, metal is perhaps the way to go.
