Felt Cruiser Build......not for cruising

Yeah there's a bit of difference between hard nylon with or w/o a bearing and softer urathane with two high-end skate bearings. I'm quite sure you won't find a single kit part on this bike.......positive in fact :D

Ya prolly won't see the idlers after I make a guard for it anyhow ;)

scotto. i see no need for the top idler, to me it's just another bearing to go bad with all that torque on it. if your using it as a guide i'd line it up so the chain does not power against it. just my 2 cents bro. dennis

You're right Dennis, it's not really needed as the bottom roller is the idler and a guide, not that it needs a guide. All the top wheel does is keep the chain from slapping around as the chain slackens. The whole thing is very smooth and quiet.....so far it's working great.

before you installed the top idler pulley, would the bike would shake during fast acceleration? and now that you installed it, it shakes less?

I don't ever recall the bike shaking at all, with or w/o the top pulley. The only time it has ever shaken is when the driver pulley on the CVT would get out of whack. Or when we have earthquakes ;)

These are some pics of a guard I made for the drivetrain.......simple, cheap and effective. This is prototype #2......#1 isn't finished yet.....

This set-up is one inch narrower than with the CVT. I think you know what the purpose of the guard is. Joker Machine will prolly get a good laugh outta this one :D

Perfect for riding with thongs.

last time I rode one with thongs the edge of the clutch drum cut
up my big toe. :D

that bike is mean i might try one of them engines in the future on the next build or the one after im happy with my 66cc flying horse for tooling around but that thing sounds like its insane would love to see it in real life just to look it over but am on the wrong side of the country from what it looks lone in your video

A little update........had a great day at the race in Riverside yesterday, the bike ran better than ever and was surprisingly fast with the new mods and some race fuel I blended up. I didn't mess with checking the plug to see how it was running at the track.....really didn't need to.

So I pulled the sparkplug today to see how it faired after a hard day at the track, and this is how it looks:

This is the original sparkplug with less than 40 hours on it in the one year of racing it.....not bad.

With the new jetting and higher compression, I think it looks about right with the new fuel blend. The bike was geared right and the acceleration was impressive.

The only probs I had at the track was about 130 thorns in my tires (from over-shooting a turn) and the bike stalled on the take-off of the finals which killed my chance for the win, but I still placed very well considering.

I am glad to hear that the new engine/ trans worked excellent.
The spark plug looks perfect as well.
Sorry to hear of the freebie give away on the win. There's always next time right?
