Hey Baird,

I can help with that Viking bike funeral when you get those wheels off (LOL).

Oh man, BigBoy Roland wins my vote for 'TopGun' of motoredbikes. His loud #17 consistently charged the scorekeeper zone. There would be a caller who pitfully would mouth '17' but only #17's trumpet exhast could be heard. The ensuing moment was a comical exchange of 'what what .. what number was that?' even though everyone knew his number whenever he came around. Same for his partner-in-crime Jim #16.

Kudos to the kidos and everyone who helped to 'make the wheels go round.' They saved the day out in scorekeeping.

Good times again, everybody was super cool and gave it thier all on the track which made for good spectating and racing. My bike broke as usual, I was looking forward to dicing it up with Baird, Riverside showdown?

Some suggestions for Neil:

Scrap the Ultimate class, there are only 3 bikes that would compete in this class anyway.

Give us more time for lunch to hang out, make repairs, and charge up before the finals.

I ran the course in reverse and didn't like it, keep it as is for the next race.

Where are all your pics Neil?

I would really appreciate it if anyone has a good pic of #84 to post or email it to me at [email protected]. It was great to see all of the competition again. Thanks msrfan for talking me into going. Great job Neil for a really great event.

That was a great race day except for the 30 degree weather we had at knight. I was really surprised on the amount of racers there where the day before Easter. Neal did a great job with running the races. We at the Pistonbikes Crew where able to knock Magrider from his first place winning streak in the China 2 stroke class with a first an third place finish. I cannot wait to see the rest of the pictures that people got from the races. Thanks to everyone who made that a fun awsome race day.

Looks like everyone had a great time but most of all, no one got injuried. My bike was ready to go but I had to finish up on a last minute project for work.
I'll be ready for the next race!

We had our radar gun at the top of the uphill straight. We were able to record some top speeds. Sorry if we missed some. Some of the bike numbers were difficult to read. And other times the radar gun would pick up a bike in the background and would not record an accurate speed. I raced in the mid range class so we don't have any times recorded for you guys that I raced with. Here's what we do have...

49cc 2-stroke/4-stroke class:

#6 = 32mph
16 = 34
40 = 26
41 = 26
62 = 34
72 = 34
96 = 31
98 = 34
112 = 28
114 = 27
120 = 21
200 = 31

66cc/80cc class

#5 = 34mph
6 = 33
8 = 35
37 = 28
55 = 33
56 = 32
57 = 39
58 = 30
59 = 33
60 = 28
64 = 32
71 = 29
73 = 33
74 = 24
86 = 39
87 = 32
87 = 36
97 = 30
169 = 32
177 = 32

Under 11hp class

#3 = 42mph
15 = 53
80 = 45
98 = 42
100 = 69 (fastest recorded speed of the day!)
113 = 50
116 = 58
174 = 50

Can you believe it?
Third SoCal Motor Bicycle Racing event already and thanks to all
they just get better each time. :)
Great crowd, perfect weather on Saturday, some serious fun action
on the track and too much to see hanging out in the pits.

Thanks to all the motorized bicycle racers, ebikers and a big welcome
to a lot of Mopeds along with a ton of spectators, friends new and old.

Special mention to Dave Rust of ArrowMotorizedCycles.com for the very
unique hand made cast #1 trophies for all the gas bikes.

Great to see Shane of AffordableGoKarts.com finally back to racing the
little 99 cc HF this time! Thank you for all support, prizes for the 4 Stroke
motor gas bikes, radar gun speed read outs and your daughter Julia did
a fantastic job on scoring the heats and finals. Please give her my thanks.

Ken #60 aka Oldbiker made Nashmoto 50 cc 4 stroke winner and Kevin
the winner of the 66 cc 2 stroke class very happy with a very generous
prize of a couple of GoPros! His company KWMachineWorks.com makes some
extremely well crafted parts to motorize Felt bikes with 2 stroke motors.

Will aka SoSauty, thank you for all your help with the scoring and putting
on the last three races. Could not have pulled it off without you! :D

Everyone that helped out please keep it up so we can have more fun events.
Too many people to mention right now .... .. ...

Thanks to Paul and all the Mods who keep this forum running.

The next SoCal Motor Bicycle Racing event is less than 2 months away
on Sat June 2nd
back at the most accommodating and challenging track
in Southern California Grange Motor Circuit.

#12 msrfan Dale on the left
#48 briggsbiker standing

We missed Greg and Gbrebes. :(

Not half as much as I missed being there! Being at the race before this one keeps on becoming more and more of a golden memory that I will cherish forever. It was like being in a dream.

Looking at all the cool pictures brings a tear to my eye. I'll have to arrange to come back sometime. I have some family kid obligations to take care of.

Thanks for putting on a super cool event Neil,

Gilbert

Thank you very much to Neil for putting on a perfect
event!
We had a great time again, just like last October!
Once again, we met nice people like Will and Sin and many
others! (Thank you for the beer after the race!!!!!!!!)
My # 17 gave me some trouble (and a work-out) in the last lap
but fortunately started again!
Timm's #16 popped my eardrums!

A special -Thanks- to the maker of the Trophies! VERY NICE!

And to the photographer Heather..... Thank you and please don't forget sending the pics....bf.

This time, we built our semi-race-bikes two days before we had to leave
for Grange and didn't have time to test-drive them.
200 feet of driving on a gravel road is NOT a test-drive!

We decided that BigBoyCycles will build a dedicated and faster race-bike (or two)!
This will allow us to have more time on the pits to talk, look around
and enjoy the event even more!

Hope to see you guys again.... RACING
