Today was fun(ish). One of my bikes broke down, one spoke snapped then ten others followed. So I raced my 29'er and fell twice. That sized wheel is just not ment to be raced in LOL. I do hope to replace my 2 stroke HT motored bikes for a 4 stroke. I was wondering what is the motor setup that those guys were using in that super class of riders? (yellow jersey #3 and the others he raced). Eh, I had a good time watching the races.

I believe Scotto's racing the 212cc predator engine. I have one with the AGK cam, and flywheel that I might sell. The engine only has 3 hours on it. I couldnt race today because of my back injury.

I would like to thank The Grange for having the motorized bike community race their track again, thanks to MBR for putting on a great turnout, and big thanks for the sponsors for their great support. I should be healed and ready to go at the next race, see everyone then!!

I had a great time today, seeing old friends and meeting new. Nice to see Steve, Dave and your dad.

The bikes ran good and only had some small issues, well small to me but not my rider. We both crashed but survived.

Congrats to Scotto for the win in the unlimited class, you are a great rider and it's really cool to see you dice it out with my kid (ice man).

Andy thanks for all the cool pictures of us your a good friend.

Yes Andy......nice pics and great seeing you and all my other good racing buddies and everyone else who attended. It was great meeting new people and seeing the amazing work these guys do, you really need to attend to appriciate as photos just don't do due justice to their creations....honestly.

Here are a few pics I took today of racing buddies and some bikes that are just awesome. And I must also thank Jim Granger for having us, Dave Rust for the cool trophies, all the other generous sponsors (AGK, Farfle, GoPro oldbiker to name a few) Joker Machine Inc., spectators......everyone who attended and helped out to make this event possible. Oh yeah.....you too Neil, Thanks!

i had a fun time. drove up with DMB friday night to party in 30 degree weather, took some moonlight laps at 2:30am...

the next morning i was the first one up and on the track and my bike ran like crap. it was running so rich it could barely make it around the course.

first heat i sputtered my way to second-to-last.

finally got it tuned for the second heat, at least enough for 4th or 5th, with iceman sneaking past me at the finish.

dialed the bike in during lunchtime practice, dodging supermoto motorcycles (wtf?) and after getting all my lines dialed in and thinking i'm gonna be a contender, my frame snapped.

that ended my day on the track, so it was all about the budweisers and bros from then on.

big thanks to DMB dennis for the ride and the generousity, and to all the friends, old and new!

the little jinxed bike is being retired. i was gonna light it on fire and give it a viking funeral, but i want the wheels...:)

What a great day in the desert. The turnout was huge, and it was great to see old friends and new. I really enjoyed seeing the different groups of alternative transportation represented at one facility. There were mopeds, scooters, electric bikes, 2 stroke MB, 4 stroke MB all with their builders proudly displaying their hard work, eager to answer any questions. Also seeing the different types of bikes on the track dicing it up was entertaining as well.

It’s amazing how far the China 2 strokes evolved into a real race bike during the off season.

Neil keep up the great work, each race gets better every time.

What a great group to hang with! I am stoked my DIY briggs powered cruiser took 7th place in the "midrange" class. There were some beautiful bikes I powered past... lol the mighty 3.5! glad to pit next to 2 fast briggs' and see what I needed to finish my build! everyone was super cool! i'm very pleased with this new hobby, and can't wait till June for Bairdco's next event!!! (close to home) See ya on the track...

This had to be one of the best events yet with the mixing up of all different kinds of vehicles all running at the same time matched mostly by power level. I'm one of the ebike guys #113 but was not riding myself and was spectating and it was really a lot of fun to watch. Loved seeing the Gas/Ebike/Mopeds all in the same races and everyone having fun. No major injuries either from what I've heard so just another great race.

I only made one lap of the track myself some of you might have seen. I was the guy in the front of the cargo ebike that made one lap in the lower power class before he stopped to let me off (we did not intend to do this and I was only going to ride up to the start line like that but then it just kind happened). If anyone has video or pictures of this I'd love to see it.

FWIW, he transports his two kids to school daily like this in the very same bicycle, so I was in great hands. He is one **** of a great rider (from a passengers perspective) and that bike was simply amazing at how well it handled. Totally different perspective of the track from my point, he could have charged for rides in that thing it was so fun. He told me the handling was actually better with me in the front, wish I would have had a video camera with me but as I said it was completely an spontaneous act of goofiness on both our parts and we did not expect to make a lap.
