sneak peak of acme V twin

I might start to try one myself, if this comes out first ill buy one. Ill only be building one and well, who knows.

I'm desperately hoping for this engine to make it to a production run, but you just get that nagging feeling, it won't happen.

Nothing would make me happier for the guys who have designed this engine to prove me wrong.

still swampt and trying to get caught up. the motor will make it to production. i only have one bike left and its in the paint and assimbule stage. so not much longer till i can devote full time to the v twin.

The molds are done and at the patern shop. i took them a weak ago. there getting mounted and gated. then they do test fittings and test pours. out of my hands now just hurry up and weight.

What's wrong with sand cast? Pressure casting may be stronger yes, but these engines are not putting out 12 HP either.

I was mostly thinking about all of the clean-up machining that will be required.

Over the years I have machined batches of raw castings...sand castings are hard on tools!

I have a related question, mostly for anybody out there who would know or for anybody who dabbles in RC: I have already seen numerous 50cc twin cylinder RC aircraft engines with opposed cylinders BUT has anybody seen a 50cc V-twin??? If so - WHERE??? (Inquiring minds want to know.)
I know - they're largly diesel, but maybe conversion would be possible with a custom head or some such, and I suppose one would need to find a way to add a flywheel and clutch.
