You got to know that I asked santa for one of those "V" twins and was pushed down the slide. He then threw a lollypop at my haid! OW!!!

I don't understand why you would want to fire both cylinders at the same time that means the the pistons are at the top at the same time.
One of the advantages of the twin is that you can put the cranks any position you want, thus find the spot that eliminates the vibration. The Yamaha twin puts one up and one down that way you get a fire every half rotation. If you put the cranks at 90 degree that would put it in the same balance as a Ducati. Just a thought.
You have to run two carbs on a two stroke, the pulses foil the intake if you try to run only one. Have fun, Dave

the motorcycle engines your talking about ar single crank twins and i think a single carb with a reed set up would almost erase pulse timing like my banshee with single carb conversion just got me thinking about this a bit just some thaughts off the top of my head![]()
i useto roadrace a yahama tz 250 and have had several r5s and rds i curently have a rd350 with all the road race goodies on it.
