That was a lot of fun! Thanks Neil for the great time! The oval was fast!

Thanks to my buddy Jake at the Jakebike for letting me ride his fast china racer and thanks Scotto for the hot laps on that "ground pounder".

Now I got to have one. Scotto, maybe I can get you on the phone so I can get gearing ratio that you run. My build is already started.

Great news!
Shane from Affordable Go Karts is back at the races on September 7th.

This bike is just about ready for the September 7th race at Willow Springs. We added a seat pan, switched the secondary chain from #41 to #35, replaced some damaged spokes on the rear wheel, changed the oil and put in some fresh fuel for a test ride!

Shane from Affordable Go Karts is bringing another 200 cc
4 stroke to the Saturday September 7th race at Willow.

Shane says he will be bringing the 99 cc HF race bike too.

I forgot that Affordable Go Karts will surely be bringing their
new jackshaft system they created to fit Honda GXH50 and
49cc HauSheng engines.
It uses a MaxTorque centrifugal clutch.

I will contact Shane to get him to have a 49 cc 4 stroke there
with AGK's new drive system so anyone can try it out.

I have found a laptimer and beacon that sells for only $60

This is going to make keeping score so much easier and accurate.
Everyone will know their laptimes and total time for every heat and final race as well as your lap times in practice sessions.

We will be testing the lap timers at the next race on Saturday September 7th at Willow Springs.

Only 12 days to go!

Hi Bill

The transponder is attached to the lap timer readout and everyone
would get their own beacon so you could get your times when you
are practicing and not at a race.

The readout goes up to 64 laps and 99 minutes.

it would have to be reset before every heat and race.

well Neil, this isnt facebook. there isnt a "Like" button, but it is a cool toy. and it would be nice to have for the racing. I think the real issue is, (and I can hear your frustration about it), these bicycle guys arent really all that into the races like we are. I hope the sport grows, and I'll be right there beside you putting up money for winning purses, donating parts, kidneys, whatever it takes. This stuff is just downright fun. I think maybe if you spotlight the safety of it, and the beginner/ no-experience-needed classes, maybe more guys will come give it a try.
I tell people about it and they're almost always surprised that they could enter a race, and scared of breaking a nail.
I'm tired, and going to sleep with the calm coolness of a guy who's just been told hes cancer free! good night, and have a pleasant tomorrow!

I am working on a bulk order of lap timers for everyone at the big
October 19th race at Grange Motor Circuit.

We will be testing a few of the lap timers at the upcoming Saturday
September 7th Willow Springs 1/4 mile oval night race.

There are a couple of versions and still working on getting the best
deal so please do not go and buy one right now.
Also we need to test them to make sure that the lap timers work
properly and are accurate.

To make our bulk buy work we need to work together so all the racers
will be able to buy one from a bulk buy.

Socal Motor Bicycle Racing will be renting the lap timers for only $10 per
racing event to riders that want to try out our very affordable and fun sport.

A full deposit will be taken with a refund at the end of the day or you have
the option to buy your rented laptimer and beacon and of course if you break
or forget to return it you bought it.

One more note is an emphasis on our safety rules is all the bikes should have
a kill switch and especially the 4 stroke bikes with centrifugal clutches that
can take off on you if the throttle or cable sticks.
Just ask scotto what happens.......
