I did something very much like yours on my first bike. I used 1/4" stainless tubing mounted under the top bar to route the cable and flared the end so the spring could be threaded on making the tension adjustable. I use the old front derailer thumb shifter on the handlebars to operate the choke.

This is a much better solution than fumbling around under the seat. My bike has the same method as 2door, but the redrock cycles idea seems more universal.

Good job, a friend and I were talking about doing the same mod on our bikes. The choke lever on the handle bar is a safety improvement, the cns carb on my first bike has this. I have asked from the first time I saw the nt why was the lever on the right side of the carb, I don't think they have the throttle on the left side of the bars.
