Nice TIG job, what Machine are you using?
Where did you get the Aluminum filler neck and bungs?
The Tig job was a favor from a co worker and it was done with a older miller machine . The bungs I made myself nothing really special elementary machine work on my part lol .

I am starting to wonder if I got black listed from all the other briggs builders on here .
I have built a briggs powered bike, and I have been following your thread, but I guess I am more of a lurker and less of a commenter. I really dig your build though, that tank and the rest of your fabricating skills look top notch.

It seems like a lot of the briggs guys visit the DIY section most often, and your thread title doesn't have "briggs" in it, so maybe some of those guys haven't seen your thread yet.

Anyway, that motor looks awesome and with the upgrades I'm sure it will be putting out more than 5hp. What do you figure it will get up to in the horsepower department? I would like to rebuild my engine with performance parts someday, but I just want to ride it the way it is before I tear it apart again.

Good luck with getting that thing on the road, and I hope to ride with you some time in the future. I think I may have met you at the Grange race, but I am not sure what number you were or what bike you were riding.

Thanks for the commits , You have a point about not having the word briggs build in my thread title lol . I am not really sure on how much power the motor will make . I am going to throw some parts at it and see how it goes .It should pick up a few HP along the way I am going to have the block all squared up and clean the ports in it as well . I talked to a few people at grange I was racing my black two stroke schwinn number 59 .

Well I got around to building my exhaust today . I think it came out close to what I wanted . A up swept exhaust with a little kick out its about 18 inches long and that is a good performance length .

Headtrama some how the pictures are way large on my screen, but I can view them by moving around.

Is the tail pipe stainless steel, cause it looks real nice and shines? I expect some blue color to coat it near the exhaust port eventually.

You use a tube bender and the way it connects threads or such, how is it connected?

Measure Twice

PS I was able to click and zoom on the attachment point to the flange at the exhaust port, nice weld there! The muffler not anything I've seen before?

We only deal with Honda's and Honda clones. It's cool seeing our jackshaft used on a Briggs.

That's a nice little muffler you have on the end of your custom header. Did you make the muffler too?

This bike is looking great! Looking forward to more progress.

Thats funny the pictures are fine on my screen ,The exhaust pipe is mild steel . I bought the pre bent tubing from AGK . The exhaust is mounted with a flange but there are threads in the port to screw on a muffler as well .

Well I got the last few parts in for the motor that I needed . I will be shipping it off to have some machine work done to it and having it rebuilt with some new internal parts . I broke the bike down and will be taking it to the powder coated this week as well . It's getting closer and closer to being done .
