Hi BX (BicycleExchange will be too long for me to type again).
I'm local, are you the guy with the Macargi Touch bikes for wholesale I talked on the phone with a couple moths ago?
I like to at least get know all the other locals that build so when you have a chance get in touch with me.
I do have to agree with AZBill and Yank on this however.
Build it right the first time
I would add 'And Test It to make sure'.
I have a kick ass race 66cc Skyhawk 8-speed shifter mountain bike close enough to done I just took it for a ride and it threw a JS chain at ~45MPH, in short it's not ready for delivery as this bike has more.
I know the fine line between a business and a hobby especially working from home but there is a line.
Like you I have am unregistered business name and web site for my bikes, I pay my income taxes on what I make I just don't pay the state $50 a year for the honor of having to add 7.4% sales tax on everything I sell and do all that sales tax crap every month to give them more.
Been there did that for 30 years with my computer business.
I am however about this --> <-- close to finding a little converted house storefront I can live in the back of so I have some retail walk in and more shop space.
We all know this town, the 6th largest city in the US needs a real motorized bicycle shop that may just stay in business.
A couple have tried and failed.
The reason is the point of the quote, do it right the first time, it takes forever to build a reputation but only one thing to destroy it.
I'm batting 1000 for 2 years now so I'm going to gamble it all and then some to make a go at it.
My only tip to you is make sure whatever leaves your door is right is all.
That and make yourself known on my web forum ;-}
