Looks like to much heat in one spot, also the heavy metal will draw heat from the tube also. I think more heat on outside of the bend, and a bigger area, play with scrap tube first............CurtOops forgot this pic of my primitive setup lol
Cool, I heated the pipe all the way around. Had about an inch glowing.Looks like to much heat in one spot, also the heavy metal will draw heat from the tube also. I think more heat on outside of the bend, and a bigger area, play with scrap tube first............Curt
Doesn’t bother me that bad. Still deciding if I’m gonna use it. And thanksLong as that inside bend pucker of the top tube don't bother you. Shut my mouth. Geometry looks good.

ThanksYa, looks good to meLOL...........Curt
Thanks, dry sand this time lolLooks good. I'd go with it myself. With a tank in there it won't noticeable.

Well that’s great, cuz I got busy. First I notched a 1” piece of pvc and was pleased with results. Then I notched the other bar I cut off the bike. And I was pleased. Mind you, I did these with a hole saw. Deciding to move on and try it on the real bar, I quickly realized I did not have enough tube on the head end. So I did use the holesaw on the seat post connection, but had to use a cutting wheel on the steering head post. Needless to say I’m pretty happy with the results. I do need to clean them up just a bit, but I’m pretty happy with the results. The Fox and the Fast have given you their benediction. You stand on good ground Danny.
I'm hanging in for the ride.

Lol, I’m afraid the gas tank will cause me issues. I need lots of practice brazing and welding on 14 ga sheet metal.I've spent a lot of time caught in the jaws of perfect. When you finish up the "Perfect" piece looks just the same as the 4 others. I have a shelf of Indian Camel back gas tanks that fit that theory. In the end the last batch did look better, at least to me, and it they weren't all side by side no one would see the difference except for the first one. The first one was just plain awful.

Thank Tom, I’m enjoying being creative. It’s something fun and relaxing in life.Enjoying your thread Danny. I have a engine mod not in the videos to be done Tuesday. Nite.

When I was sign painting, they use to say, the only ones that see the mistakes are you and the people who watch.....lol.....CurtI've spent a lot of time caught in the jaws of perfect.
