Thanks Tom, yep had a period correct but it didnt fit. I may just leave it off I don’t know! Lol I also think the rear rack looks better on a bike with a normal seat and seat post like your bike Tom.
I looked at a few like that but wow $$ ! I ordered a few 3/4” clamps for the stays and I’ll mess around and see what happens. Those old Schwinn metal child safety seats have a nice platform..hmmm,Go back and look at the Harley i posted, i like the rack if you can figure out different mount..Maybe some rods down lower on the stays........Curt
Ok with or without rack? Also I’m getting another rack from a Cabe member ..he might be a member here? But I’m going to build off this one. It’s simple lines may do it.You are right about the rack MotoMags, might be useful but it don't work with that saddle. Would like some full length bike porn from starboard please ..
AGK level? Just for posterityI think of the bike as a blend of both Btr. and cruiser. I’m going to make this new rack(rusty) with front stay mounts an see what I get.
Mr. Wayne motor is a Harbor Fright 6.5hp ..212cc that’s built to 12-14hp maybe. Frame was Built by Dan at Taylar Cycles to my wheels. Wheels are Worksman.
.? Sorry Intake?AGK level? Just for posterity
Yep plus Heads milled head port polished, exhaust, intake/carb.and valve springs.Timing advance built into flywheel oh of course govner removal. Thanks for the additional photos MotoMags. In post #1 the photo shows cylinder head, cam, piston, con rod, and billet flywheel. Is that how you doubled your hp?
Tom
I know what you mean about cruising... my last bike would load up on fuel.. Reving it to cruise is not cool! I purchase pretty much mild engine up grades. Last couple bike had real Mikuni 22mm and a long intake. This time PZ 22 with a real 22mm opening ..not 26mm like the 22mm mikuni. New cam C2 , new head will ad 18cc and springs are 22lb or 18 can’t recall. Flywheel has advance timing 32 degree. This is my first motor build and I’m a rookie with motors. I talked to people and looked stuff up. We will see....Moto our karting days showed ginormous hp increases following just those avenues to engine performance and longevity...weekly thrashings were brutal...
This bike should "hunt" well on the roadways, but may not like to play in slow city environs, just depends on how lumpy the cam and how tight the squeeze chosen. Do you have any general or specific thoughts on this? Perhaps 3/4 race or full race generalizations that might have been provided from vendors or specifics from an engine builder? Neither outcome is necessarily bad, just different.
For example my Simplex is only mildly tuned, but my builder got a bit carried away on the Harley "Peashooter" both are powered by CG125 cc pushrod engines but an enormous hp gap resulted after motor mods, so my riding style on each has to be quite different...the HD demands keeping the revs up & it's a good thing to have a 5 seed box, while the Simplex can be ridden as a single speed in third gear, dead stop to 50 mph no problems.
I'm excited about the prospect of reading your debrief of that first ride.
