I have no idea how much that stuff costs. I'm sure a little more than regular auto grease.

Ya but I'm thinking its worth it. I live in Florida an summer is coming. So a lot of humidity . so with it not washing away or breaking down in water is a plus. Or you think I should jus go with bearing grease at auto zone.
I prefer the Kendall super blue for that area if you can find it... that's what the clutch cam is lubed with if it has the blue smelly grease on it.. its very heavy duty and water proof but not sticky like the red grease. A good moly grease also works good here, the sticky red grease is excellent stuff but its very messy... but really, any heavy duty bearing grease will work... just get a lot of it in there and on the parts, the excess will fling off and help lube the chain a little.
I got a tub of that stuff at the shop and use it to pack beárings on 4x4 trucks and anything that's going to see offroad abuse, its very waterproof and pretty much bomb proof. Its excellent for tie rods and ball joints since the boots usually tear way before the joint wears out and this stuff is real good at keeping water and dirt away from the metal it protects. Cant go wrong with this stuff but it can be very messy...
Another good one is Kendall's super blue... its slightly different from the red sticky stuff as its not sticky, this stuff works great in sealed or semi sealed areas, this stuff is best on bearings where maximum lubrication is more important than keeping contaminants out. I use this on all one ton and larger trucks where the bearings are sealed by dust caps on one side and rubber seals on the other, this stuff has a smell to it and if you get it on your hands it'll take several washings to get it all the way off. Not as messy as the red stuff but very good protection against extreme loads. This works great on the clutch arm and cam since its so slick.
Other good ones are the marine grade greases, the molly greases (also messy), and the synthetic Multi purpose ones... they all work well and most the ones mentioned like the red, the blue, or the marine grade are overkill, but that's a good thing...
I use the Red because it has the highest "Drop Temperature" of any I've seen -- 540*. Just means it's gonna stay put and do its job. As mentioned, this is probably overkill, but that's OK by me.
In a pinch, though, any grease is better than none.

Yup... the red and the blue are both overkill but thats what I use on just about everything too.... I like the red for ball joints and tie rods because if the rubber boot rips there's still no way water or dirt can harm the metal... another overkill is Cv joint grease since it has to stand up to some of the most extreme conditions with no way to change out the grease... this stuff is probably the toughest to get off if you get it on you..
You can get marine grease at almost any auto parts stores. It's great stuff. Ever seen what happens to regular grease when you get water in it? It's not good. Comes out all milky and loses its properties. I use it because splashing through puddles is inevitable, and I've never seen a bike with axle seals. Dust shields, but no seals. I grease up both axles, the pedal crank, head tube bearings, and a little dab on the clutch gear and bucking bar and ball. It's cheap too. Don't waste money on overkill. That's like justifying a Bugatti over an Accord. Just because it's "better" doesn't always make it the right choice for obvious reasons.

Hey guys everything's on hold for about a week. Wife went into hospital past Sunday for high blood pressure, did a cat scan an found an "abnormality" in her brain.... Rushed to do MRI but my beautiful wife being the sweetest, nicest, lady like girl she is has really bad closterphobia an went berserk in machine lol... So now we did the open MRI two days ago and a "specialist" is suppose to call us back for an appointment. So needless to say we are very low right now and waiting to hear hopefully some kind of good news like we caught something early, or the student who did the cat scan Smudged it with their peanut covered fingers. Please everyone pray for my wife and family. We are hoping to get a call back on mon-wed hopefully. An then o will be back at work putting this baby road worthy. I will definitely need to get her on the road because we are gonna need to save money for whatever this bring. And our v8 caddlac is suckin me dry on gas

Hey everyone!! So life has throwing me an my family a couple of curve balls but with low valleys comes high peaks. I went to the post office yesterday because I missed my package from 2door(Tom). So I was expecting some parts to get the baby finally on the road an when the woman handed me the package it was heavy so I thought wow he sent me a new bottom end because mine is missing a bolt hole. So I opened it up an jumped up an down screaming like a little girl when she gets a pony for her birthday. My bday is june 5th and this is by far way better then any pony. Though it does have 2.!!! Look what I got!!!

Tom once again thank you so Much man. This really is an amazing gift that will be put to good use. I will be getting a new bike for a new bad ass motor, so now I'm taking off the parts off the old bike cleaning and inspecting to male sure they are suited for this road warrior machine. Thank you again so much. An thank you all for the prayers an thoughts for my wife. As of now they just know it is a growth an a small one at that so this is good news. I will update when we get news of what's going on. An be sure to check in because I will need help inspecting parts an seeing what stays an goes!!
Yup, 2door is an amazing person. He knows his stuff and got a great big heart. The world should be full of a lot more guys like him.
