Even more very cool prizes for the 66 cc 2 Stroke Amateur Class.

I want to thank Fred of CR Machine for his very generous
sponsorship of motorized bicycle racing with a couple of his
billet high performance racing cylinder heads for the 66cc engines.

The fast guys on the track in the 66 cc 2 Stroke Pro Class use these
heads because they are the best performance head on the market bar none.

Check out all versions of CR Machine's heads here:www.crmachine.com

CR Machine just came out with this product for all you guys that don't have brass nuts
for your special build.

Motorized bicycle 6 x 1.0 mm tall brass exhaust nuts pkg. of 2

http://www.ebay.com/itm/130880288717

The heads are big chunks of aluminum, that's some set up cutting the fins!!!

You have some cool prizes to give out this race Neil. I hope you have the biggest turn out yet. See you Saturday.
Thanks Andy.
Don't have anything for the small bike class, Midrange Class or 11 HP Class. There will be trophies though and bragging rights.

Anyone in the 2 Stroke Pro Class has to be fast, if you get lapped in 12 Laps you don't belong in the class. They are racing for cash.

1st $100
2nd $80
3rd $60
4th $40
5th $35
6th $30

Arrow Motorized Cycles is putting up $200 and Jake Busey TheJakeBike.com $100 into
the 66 cc 2 Stroke Pro class race purse.

I don't get it, why is this gonna be the last race? I'm bummed out because I was going to try and hit the next one if it was on a weekend off from work.

I'll be bringing these to the track, but not to donate :D

Maybe I'll just bring one of these bikes since no prizes will be awarded in either class that these bikes can race in?

Just trying to keep things simple here.

I thought we all agreed that the 'pro' class is going to be 13 laps.

how will you know if someone needs to bump down a class? will the heats actually be used to determine if someone is to slow that gets lapped?

hopefully they'll be enough prizes for all the amateurs and first timers to win something.

Don't be a putz! :)
There may be cool prizes from Joker Machine, etc I just don't know about them.
I have no control over race sponsors generosity. :)
There will be trophies for every Class.

I wanna see your 99er and the 99 cc / 79 cc HF class has to start somewhere?
Simple my you know what. :D

Is this really going to be Neils last race?, or is he just saying that to get more riders to show up?? He doesn't seem to be answering the questions. :/

12, 13, whatever.
Don't worry Steve we will work out who is in what class on the 13th
and yes the heats will be used to help sort it out with a little common sense.

Just to keep you happy the first Pro heat will have a drawing for starting position.
Arrow Motorized Cycles says they will co-ordinate the drawing.
I don't have time to do it.

The Amateur Class has a trophy and very cool prizes down to 8th place right
now.
All 6 Classes are going to get trophies awarded by umbrella girls with big bottles
of bubbly. :D

From the Race bike thread.

Did someone say cranks.

The rule was 'functioning" pedals and those crank arms look too short
to "function" properly and be able to pedal your bike.

The only rules in the Midrange Class are.

Functioning pedals.
No Motorcycle tires.
No Motorcycle shifting motors.
Less than 8 HP

I have to say you were very creative to make those pedals and you get
the short crank award.

Please bring the other cranks you had on the bike because your short
cranks are too short to fit the rules.
I would really like to see you pedal those short cranks from the pits all
the way up the front straight back to your pit.

don't worry Neil, I can pedal that bike wherever to wherever you feel that I need to prove they are functioning. They will get the job done, just because they are short /small doesn't mean it doesn't get the job done. If I bring another set of cranks it will be to sell them.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone

Ok, I am refining the rule.

The new refined rule is functioning pedals with a minimum crank length of x"

Damn this turning into nascar. :)

Seriously it is the old slippery slope of a crank length war with all the other
riders and your shorty cranks are disqualified.

thanks.

explain to me why you are disqualifying the bike 3 days before the race. as the bike sits it falls well into our established rules.
I am not disqualifying your bike.
We are disqualifying your cranks that function and look more like foot pegs.

Take the old cranks that you had on the bike and put them back on.
Should take you about 10 minutes at the most.
You could have run your idea by me first.

This is not an autocratic decision, the consensus is that those short
cranks break the spirit of a very simple and core rule.

If I let you do it everyone else is going to do it too.

I feel that you want to stop the advancement of the hobby. this won't be the first time that someone else might want to do something that another has.

I'm sure that if you asked other racers about the cranks they all would agree that they fall into your established rules.

I'll wait while you make your phone calls.
