It runs like a top and rides smooth as glass. The clutch chatters a bit, but that will go away as the clutch wears in. I could not be happier with the way this bike turned out, or the way it runs and rides. Its so amazing. It pulls nice and cruises beautifully.

I finally installed a speedo today. Its just a cheapo Bell cyclocomputer from wallyworld, but it will at least give me an idea of how fast I'm going. I happen to believe I may be geared a bit on the high side for my weight, but the speedo will tell me for sure. I haven't ridden yet and won't ride until I leave for work in the morning, so I'll have a report on my top speed tomorrow evening.

Well unfortunately, the bicycle speedometer was a bust. Way too much interference from my ignition. Drove down the road on my way to work this morning, and all it did was reset itself constantly the whole time. I have a handlebar mount for a smartphone, so one day this week I'm going to borrow my wife's phone and use it as a gps speedo. Probably buy a phone with my next paycheck, but at least for now I'll know my top speed and that will tell me if I'm geared how I want to be.

So I borrowed my wife's smartphone for a gps speedo today, and my top speed is about 29-30mph. I cruise beautifully between 25 and 29, and that's fine by me. So there you have it, stock carb, no shift kit, gearing is 12.44:1, top speed about 30mph.

The clutch is working beautifully. Its almost broken in. I try not to help the clutch out unless I have to, and it seems to be chattering a bit less now. Its really nice to not have to mix oil and gas. I went to the gas station yesterday and put $2 in, and didnt have to try to figure out how much oil to add to $2 worth of gas. I check my oil once a week. It didnt need changed last weekend, probably wont this weekend either, but I'll check it anyway.

Gave my wife $30 for her phone, so now I have my own phone to use as a speedo again. Drove to work this morning, and I'm happy and proud to report a new official top speed of 33mph!

Good work BBB! I am being torn in two directions now. Can't decide between the 98cc 2.5 or go all out with a Honda GX120! Time to make a list for the next build! Very nice bike!!
