Spent the morning tweaking.on it a bit . I got it really close to running great or at least better then it was. I took the clutch apart yesterday and cleaned it up. I suggest anyone buying these motors to do that . The washers that come in the clutch are junk plane on buying some good ones as well.

Once it stops raining I'll jet the big end. I did sneak a quick ride in before the rain started and this motor pulls hard when the clutch locks up and it's on the pipe it reves forever . I also threw in a set of boysen reeds in it yesterday. When I had the manifold off I noticed it was warped really bad. I might make a aluminum one that fits my carb.

Very cool, I'll be paying attention to how you sort the clone motor because I have one that I haven't started yet. That monster pipe should really make the top end punch!

I am still working on the jetting , I did notice the intake boot is warped really bad and ordered a new one . I am hoping that is the cause of some of my jetting issues . I am still thinking about making my own .

Well after jetting this bike every way I could I finally figured out it had a air leak. I took off the manifold and found out it had a big bow in it . I made myself a new manifold made to fit my carb and re jetted it back to my base jetting . The jetting is close put still needs some tuning but the bike runs good without the crazy idle it had before when it would warm up . The motor sounds good now and screams . The next thing is the clutch , I am not crazy about this washer stack clutch and see a upgrade in my near future .
