fantastic, would be great to see the whole Briggs gang back at the track.

I hope SuperHarry and Briggsbiker are coming too.
GBrebes is going to be there with his Briggs.

Would be a big hit if you could bring the Mini Scout to putt
around the pits and show it off.

Only 4 days to the race!
Really only 3 days for me because I am going to be
there on Friday afternoon.

I just got the tracking number for some cool prizes
from Sick Bike Parts.

Arrow Motorized Cycles is providing the trophies once
again and I see that they are back to taking orders again.

Dave Rust family and the whole Arrow crew is going to be
at the race, Jimmy Rust, Jeff and Ryan will be the guys to
beat in the fast 2 stroke class.
I hear that Jimmy's son Andy Rust may be there for the first
time too.

Me too, I'm curious to see if my 212cc Predator engine actually produces the 7hp that they claim........ ;)

See you in the pits......

#3
I think I've read that it takes about 13 hp for a motorcycle to go 60 mph, so I'm guessing your bike must be about 10 hp?
Or a bit more.......I've had it up to 65mph with taller gearing and a slight downhill.
With all your present modifications I am surprised it went so backwards? So You detuned the engine ? In the interest of ''''Safety'''' :)dnut

It has as much horepower as a liquid cooled Morini. The bike is about as safe as a bike can be with a 212cc engine in it. Come to the track and find out first hand.....you can take it for a spin on the track after the races ;)

dnut

EDIT: I will never de-tune an engine built for racing in the interest of anyone or anything ;)

3 days to the SoCal Motor Bicycle Racing extravaganza.

Everyone who has been to the last 3 Grange races knows that
Jim Granger takes orders for pizza and delivers them to the track
for lunch.
Jim has been working on opening his own pizza restaurant for the
last 3 years due to the difficulty of opening a business in CA.

Finally, Cross Eyed Cow Pizza has opened so Jim will be taking orders
from the full menu and delivering to the track.

Every spectator and track rider will be entered into a raffle for a free
lunch that will be drawn at about 11am.

Large 16" gourmet pizza [enough for 4], four drinks, garlic bread, etc

Jim Granger has invited all you guys to the Cross Eyed Cow Pizza
after the race, I think he is having some kind of special that will
be announced at the race.

Directions:
http://goo.gl/maps/nO0IA
19242 National Trails Highway (Route 66), Oro Grande, CA 92368 | 760-241-1987

Cross Eyed Cow Pizza is only 15 miles from the track on the way back to
LA or OC

http://hdlifestylesmagazine.com/cross-eyed-cow-pizza/

A simple menu, interesting recipes and locally grown produce are the foundation for this new pizza joint on Route 66.

Pizza, subs, beer and wine. Look for menu specials including the TXI special, the Unlucky Cow, the Train Wreck and the Iron Hog.

Inside gets funky chic with 1920’s diner booths acquired from the Corona Rail Road Station. The counter is built from a 1950’s bi-plane wing. You’ll just have to come in to see the rest!

Look for the psychedelic cow on the roof.

Only 2 days to go and the weather is looking great at the
track.

Although it's hot today and Thursday the forecast is for only
78* to 82* on the big day Saturday 20th.

Perfect weather for a day at Grange Motor Circuit with just
a bit of a breeze.

I am going to be there on Friday afternoon and camping overnight.
No extra charge after 5 pm on Friday.

I got a box of Sick Bike Parts prizes in the mail today! :)

Huge thanks to the Pablo and Jim for supporting the races
all the way back to the first one at Willow Springs in June 2011.

I really like their throttles, such a big improvement over the stock
junky throttles that come with the kits.

After looking at their new nylon sleeve model I like it better than
the all metal one they have been selling for a long time.

I have one of each to give out as prizes so you can check them
out at the race for yourself and maybe even win one or some of
their high performance air filters for the 2 and 4 strokes.

I don't know how they sell their throttles for only $23.95 which
includes the cable in a choice of 3 different lengths. :D

Pretty cool prizes from SBP. I plan on going but just going to chill out and watch some good racing. Weather should be good at 79 and sunny.
How's the turnout going to be, do you have alot of sign ups?

To all who want to use the dyno please bring a flash drive to save your results. I want to bring a printer but I don't know if that's going to happen. I might even do an email thing where if you don't have a flash drive I can send you a jpeg of your dyno graphs. Since that picture I've built a box around it so it's not so deathtrappy. Make sure your bike is warmed up before it's tested. You will not be on the bike while it's on the dyno for safety reasons. Though you're encouraged to strap your own bikes down and take it off when it's done, I have a feeling my back is going to be aching if people don't. I'm thinking how it's going to work is $5 for five consecutive pulls. And maybe a cash prize for who ever makes the most hp. Maybe I'll break it into multiple prize winners, one for each racing class.
Also a word to anyone variated. If variated make yourself a spacer to hold the variator in 'high gear'. This way you get a full sweep of rpm to show where you make the most hp. It'll show max hp just fine without a spacer but the results are not very good for tuning.

There's 5 runs back to back I did this morning on a friend's bike. Stone cold engine so that what the inconsistencies are from.

Hi Dave
Going to be a great turnout, some new people, people who haven't been to the races for a while and the usual crew.

See you, your brother and dad on Saturday. :)

CulverCityClassic will be going including Iceman. Iceman is still healing and will be cruzing the track on his Boardtrack bike. We are going to chill like Bucko. I am not sure if we will be racing competitively anymore but will attend the races. We enjoy the people and the bikes that’s for sure.

Jeff, there is plenty of room for those that are there for the very fun event
all the way to the serious racers.

I am itching to get out on the track but I have some work starting on
Monday and if I am banged up in the slightest it's a no go.
I can't afford to lose all that moolla.

Anyway lets talk on Saturday about how the races are going.....

Great weather, great people, it's gonna be a fun time.
If you have never been to one before now is the time to come
and see what it's all about. :)
