where would the 125cc-150cc(not sure yet) lifan powered bike i want to build fit in?
If it is a foot shifted 4 or 5 speed it would be excluded due to
breaking one of the few rules.

If your125cc-150cc Lifan was an auto and stock it would be in the
Mid Range Class but if it was hopped up it would be moved to the 11 hp Class.

RULES said:
No multi speed shiftable motorcycle engines.
No motorcycle tires. Some Moped tires are OK.
No engines over 11.99 hp.
Functioning pedals

www.BigBoyCycles.com race Lifan type/clone motorcycle engines
but they are a 50 cc single speed and a 112 cc semi auto.
They have raced a 88cc semi auto at past races.

Here is Bigboy's #17 88 cc Chonda bike at Grange with# 72
Gbrebes 5 hp Briggs racing in the Mid Range class.

# 16 Timm on the BigBoy 50 cc Chonda at Grange.

I can't help but notice that Timm isn't wearing any gloves,
knee pads, elbow pads and his ankles are ready to be
ground off. The helmet looks cheesy too.

Please everyone, bring and use the required safety gear! :)
thanks

DOT rated helmet or better like Snell. No bicycle helmets.
No novelty motorcycle helmets without DOT certification.

Eye protection.

Gloves. No bare hands.

Knee and elbow pads or full leathers or Motocross gear.
If your wear a leather jacket you don't need elbow pads.

Long pants, no shorts or exposed skin please.

Ankle covering footwear or boots.

Fire extinguisher.

The pit road speed limit is 5 mph.

I bought a new leather jacket with pads because I got tired of taking forever to get my body armor on. I just hope it comes in to time.

The more safety gear the better.

We are still allowing open face and 1/2 shell DOT helmets on the
upcoming race on October 20th.

I am seriously considering requiring Full Face Helmets just like
most or maybe all track racing organizations.

Additional gear like back pads are good upgrade.

Good gear will prevent looking like this after a crash.

I couldn't agree with you more about protection. My new jacket has kevlar pads for the shoulders, back and elbows. You'll never catch me racing without a full face helmet. I've been down one too many times to know how important it is to have face protection.
I have sixsixone full leg guards and my padded underwear...and it's not to impress the ladies. LOL It's for hip protection.
Sometimes I feel like I'm bubble wrapped but there's nothing worst than going home all banged up if it could have been prevented.

I just recently started wearing my motorcycle gear to these events - a full face helmet, Joe Rocket Jacket (mesh), Bilt pants (mesh) with built in knee pads, the padded underwear as well, Alpinestar gloves and these Alpinestar boots. I dont want to break my ankles or twist my ankles

So what do you guys think would be a cool prize for the raffle?

I talked to Jake yesterday and I am sure he said something about donating
one of his stylish custom JakeBikes for a prize at the race. :)

I'm only going to race 2 classes, my sponsored 'Arrow motorized cycle' china bike, and my H2o Italian.

I think a great prize for the raffle would be a 'free' entry fee for a future race.

Hi Steve
I seriously considered a free entry but the prize for the raffle is going
to be way better than a free entry and something that just about
everyone with a bike would want.
