I saw everyone having a good time. There was some confusion on qualafying. The first two heats in each class did not count for anything, and I am not sure why. Neil said after the fact they were for practice. I wish I had known that ahead of time.
Sorry about any confusion Ed and thanks for the coffee on
Saturday morning!
There is no need to qualify for the final as ALL the racers get
two 5 lap heats and a 12 lap final.
There is no need to eliminate anyone, so more track time gotta
equal more fun, right?
The heats are to get more practice time in to learn the track
under race like conditions so pushing it too hard is not the best
strategy.
Maybe at the next April 7th race we will use the heats to set the
starting grid order for the final 12 lap race, but that will take a little
more organization.
Also how does everyone like the number of laps in the heats and finals?
The finals could be 14 or even 16 laps.
The Ultimate race will definitely be longer next April 7th 2012
AirEd on his Harbor Freight 4 stroke which I had a long of fun
riding around the track on Friday.
