What did you see at the Oct 22 Grange race?

What is smoking?>
All that white smoke>?
SoSauty's lipo battery pack for his electric bicycle fused a couple
of leads and caught on fire.
The smoke is after the flames were knocked out with fire extinguishers.

There are better pics of the fire in the Grange race thread.

Everyone had a great time including me. I cant wait for he next one. Here are som of the pictures my wife took.

That last pic there is me (yellow jersey) smokin' a briggs bike (and lapping) on the straight to the white flag (one lap to go) just before my spill (2 turns later) and giving up first place in the finals. That's racing!

We saw a lot of faces from this forum for the first time,
most of them happy, smiling faces......
welcoming us with open arms...
Some of them may become friends....

We saw bikes, build with soul.....

We are very glad we were there!

I was starving before my first heat...and thinking to myself I could go for a hot dog and just then, heading towards to starting area...it was like a dream come true.
After my race I headed straight for her stand. It was the best $2 I've ever spent! dance1

In My second heat I finally got to see the track with nobody in front of me for the first half of the heat untill easyrider pass me gave me a little elbow and a big grinn. so got to see second I know it was only a heat race but to me it was a race to remember. A big thanks to everybody who helped me out in the pitts
with tools .and it was fun dicing it up with the agk rider and easy rider also with magrider in unlimited race..Flex....

Yup, I crashed and still beat all the briggs bikes :D It was an absolutely GREAT time!

I saw lap top computers hooked up to e-bike controllers...threatened to be at the next race with one hooked to my thumper dialing in the air-fuel mixture thru a 02 sensor...lol...they laughed at me...

Saw a hot chick as a starter for the races...

I knew you guys would like our starter.
I put on a classy event, right?
Actually Jenny was our starter and EMT for the race......almost
makes you wanna crash and hurt yourself so you could get a
little patching up. :D

Her 2 very lovely daughters helped out with signing people in.

Fun racing on a technical track with a lot of great bikes and riders. Thanks Neil for putting this together. Hoping for more 49cc 4-stroke bikes next time. And thanks to Sick Bike Parts for prizes. Most of the drivetrain parts I use come from them. Looking forward to next time!
