I used to think hair/fingernails grew after you died, but Snopes cleared that up.

Snopes is like an 'urban legend' mythbusters. Great site.

That's crazy about Venus Aleman, imagine that here?

We'd have to 'Wait a year for tomorrow'.... (great song title, eh?)

Hurricanes are named after women because of their similarities.

When thet come, they're hot and wet.

When they go, they take your house and car. :~)

Hurricanes USED to be named after females but the 'Political Correct Police' stopped that a few years ago. They're still named alphabetically but their gender has been neutered.

According to MythBusters, it's impossible to sneeze with your eyes open.

When ducks sleep they only rest one side of their brain at a time. The other side is fully awake listening through one ear and looking with one eye, always alert for danger. This activity alternates from one side of the brain to the other side through out the night so both sides of their brain receive an equal amount of recuperative sleep.

Walking Catfish can "walk" for quite some distance across land without needing to be in water right away. They also have poisonous spines, and can generate a mild electrical charge the same way electric eels do. To say that they dislike being handled is probably redundant. And as it happens, I haven't run across a reference to how they taste.
