I have always been into the slow ride.

I mean really slow, walk speed. You know if you really just want to check stuff out w/o stopping. Can't be done with a happy time, the bike will will be bucking and surging and stalling and generally complaining big time. You are lucky to be smooth at 10.

Can't be done with a centrifigal either, the clutch will drop out at that speed.

Very easy to do with an ebike.
You've been riding electric for a long time so you totally understand the deal. It's the people that haven't experienced the sensation, of which I was one not long ago, that can't comprehend what's so satisfying about them. You really need to feel it to understand it.

I decided I needed a hard wired taillight. I'm tired of replacing the battery's in the bicycle taillight I've been using which is still on the bike, just above the new one.

I bought this one from Treatland.tv. It's 12vdc LED, and it has low and high power capability so it can work as a taillight, or stop light. On high power it draws 0.069 amp. I wired it parallel to my headlight.

i ordered this one the other day for my electric bike http://www.ebay.com/itm/221367710693?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 i am going hard wire to, i have one however i keep forgetting to turn it on, this one the battery gets hooked up and it will come on lol
Yeah that looks like a good idea for a 48v bike.

My eBay headlight came with a doohickey that converts any voltage between 24vdc---- 87vdc, to 12vdc. I'm running all the other LEDs off the same d/c to d/c converter. Headlight, Taillight, and two idiot lights.

I tried it on tonight for about 40 minutes, and nothing blew.

I guess I'm done with gas bicycles. After a little over 4 months of uninterrupted riding on my electric, I decided to take Stunner for a ride the other day. After sitting in the garage since October, it started right up. I rode it around the hood for about 5 miles. Even after as much love as I put into building it, I couldn't help myself thinking what a poc it felt like to ride. No suspension, noisy, weak brakes, slow acceleration. About the only thing it has going for it is looks.

The difference between Electronaut, and Stunner is like the difference between an advanced space alien, and a poor soul living in the dark ages. Once you've eaten the forbidden fruit there's no going back.

I almost blew a lung out tonight riding home from school. I was pedaling my butt off.

I may have caused an accident. It wasn't my fault. I was riding fast down the street on a 6 lane. As I was coming to a stop at a light about 3 cars back, a pickup truck in the right lane rear ended the car next to me. I think he was looking at my bike.

This bike is a starship. People are totally confused. Wth is it.

The other night I was coming home on the same street, and frickin Emmett Smith pulled up next to me, and ask about my bike.

I think this is a new record I set tonight.

What are are you trying to do, cause a mass panic and chaos in Big D like Orson Wells did in the War of the Worlds? I just saw a 2 wheeled UFO with a guy riding it! LMAO

Electronaut's rather pedestrian utube is getting more hits everyday. It's averaging 200 per day for the last week, up from 100.

None of my china girl vids are getting over 20 per day.

Wow 54.7mph!! That's fast man!
Focusing on the top speed doesn't give a clear picture of this monster. Yes, it has a great top speed for a motor bicycle, but the torque at lower speeds is what really gets your attention. How powerfully it responds to tiny adjustments of the throttle at slower speeds makes riding it very satisfying at any speed.

Last night I rode 40 miles, and never got over 41 mph. I still had 4 ah when I parked it.
