Me too biknut. Are we still going to ride next Sunday?
I certainly hope so.

I think I'm going to ride somewhere today. I can't decide which direction to go, but no matter which way I go, I'm planning on it taking me a long time to get there.

My best friend, roving photog Bruce, snapped this picture of a motorized bicycle at the ROT Rally in Austin over the weekend.

Well we are getting together tomorrow morning here in Fort Worth to ride. I started this club to find people to share this addiction with thinking I was the only one in Fort Worth with a motor on a bike but I was wrong. There are four of us going riding in the morning it is going to be great.

Man that's great bigd. I'm glad you found some riders close to you. Did they hit you up on FB?

My neighbor rode over on his bike to see me today. I told him about our ride, and suggested we could plan another ride. He says he wants to ride with us. We'll see.

I haven't ridden in days. I got to ride today
So I decided to ride the Atomic BB at the last minute. That meant I had to install an exhaust. I used a new stocker i had, and drilled some extra hole in the baffle.

After not being started for eight months it started pretty quickly. This exhaust is still really quiet, even after adding extra holes in the baffle.

It was running 33 against the wind for about 15 miles. It was running and idling well all day. On the way home with the wind at my back it was running 36. I got up to 38. The first 1000 ml bottle ran dry at about 30 miles.

The forks look weird and feel dangerous at first, but after about 50 miles you think you're Mario Andretti.

Hey Brownsville. I worked in McAllen area for 30+ years. I don't know that much about Cameron County but there are all kinds of back roads in Starr and Hidalgo County that a group could easily have a nice days ride. I moved back to East Texas about 4 years ago. I miss the Valley.

I live in Rowlett. It would be fun to come out and ride with you guys. I have no idea if I could keep up though. Ghostrider here takes 23 minutes to make my eight and a half mile commute to work. occasionally it jumps up into another smooth running mode and hauls.Runs a little better when it is not 103° outside or I am crossing the lake.I will work the bugs out or build a better motor and put the one I have on my kids bike. I have added a few details to it since this pic. Its just better lighting. I have actually been breifly interviewed sports bottle and all out by Bass Pro Shop by the lake. Someone called me in claiming I was weaving on and out of traffic on the freeway. It was all smiles and we were laughing about it. I keep ice tea in that bottle since the ones on my mountain bikes just don't look right on there.

Your bike looks great Nosferatu. Rowlett's not that far, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to ride with us. I've ridden to Garland a few times. Coaster lives in McKinney, and he's ridden his bike all the way to my house in Farmers Branch a couple of times, then after he got here we rode to White Rock lake.

It is running really good now. Closed my plug gap a little and starved the carburetor. It ran really good one day just as it was running out of gas so I set the float so it is always running out of gas. I do not think it was ever closing the other jet. Makes sense to me anyway. I cut my commute to beating Kate to work. I work half a mile down the road from her and I pass her store before she hits the parking lot. Still not ready for Bonneville but at least it does what I expected it to now. I have a few more details to address before I go on a road trip. I am leaning toward downhill tubes for one. I still have my grocery store tubes in it. Brakes, I need better brakes. My specialized stops like it just hit a wall. My dinosaur is an anticipation braking machine right now. It does not stop it slows down. I broke my rear brake lever smith off the bike the first day I rode it . Replaced it when I got home but still, let me get something that can handle serious braking on there and I should be ready to go.

One of my friends told me he saw a china girl in Plano the other day. That's the first one he's seen at large that wasn't mine. He's always telling me there aren't any, and there's no market for them. Now he knows I'm not the only nut riding around.

I've seen three other guys on china girlnpowered bike in my town, ( Brownwood Texas ) none of them on the road long, I figure its because they have a failure of some sort and dont know how to fix it, some day Im gonna catch up with one of them and point them to the forum and maybe be able to help them get their bike rolling again..... one guy had his on a blue and cream colored Cranbrook which was a very clean looking bike, the other two fellas looked like they may have lived under a bridge somewhere and the bikes didn't look very well put together, nothing against bridge dwellers but I figure they might not have had the tools to keep the bikes going possibly.
Sure wish I had a couple of locals to go cruising with from time to time though..... I do all my riding alone not nearly as fun.....!
