Dan when Tom posted that my first thought was how can I help? Then I got thinking if I did get involved then I wouldn't get to heaven but the chances of that happening are so sabre slim that they barely exist.
Next Soc. Sec. check I'm on it. Just got to find out what shark appears off the coast of Fla. and how long the jail time is for emptying the beach and destroying the tourism.

I see a you tube moment in the making.

Steve.

Mine wasn't radio controlled, in fact it didn't move at all but was anchored to the bottom of an erosion control pond that was adjacent to the office building where I used to work. When it rained the pond would fill from runoff from the roofs and parking lots then drain into a city storm drain. I made a life sized fin, painted it flat black and put it in the pond which was usually dry. People didn't seem to notice it until the pond filled and the fin floated to the surface, and there was an 18" high shark fin, bobbing around the pond. Got a lot of laughs...funny, everyone seemed to know who did it.

LOL Steve, just do what I do. Pray to one who has a sense of humor.

This' would be funny, a RCed parascope. Put a giant eye inside the thing that blinks. hehe, I am really liking this. Imagine a woman relaxing on a surf board. Opens her eyes and it is there. Just floating next to her, watching her lounge in the water and winking. lololol. Oh man, we could sell these things. Can almost hear the scream from here.

This is just 2 funny. we really gotta do it. Would make utube history. Or ensure although none of us get past the pearly gates, but do end up explaining our selves to a judge.

LOL! when I first explained to Carol that I could use an ordinary, household oven, ya should have seen the look of fear! I couldn't keep a st8 face and had to explain I would get one from goodwill or dump and not use her's in the kitchen. In her defense, such things are not unprecedented. Although I still maintain I had nothing to do with either the explosion or fire. I still say the dog was playing with matches. (pretty amazing as she has no thumbs)
A true old school Loony Tunes skit if I ever heard one:)

There is a pond in town that a small portion of is in our back yard. On the other end is a small dam where folks park to feed the ducks, geese and to meet up with other people's spouses. I want to build a pirate ship. Solar powered and anchored. Have it set up so it sinks and rises. Say, up at noon, then sinks at 2 or some thing. Or at sun down and put the solar panel near by and connect it via cable. (hmm, could just hardwire it all) Make it work like a submarine only with tattered sails. Do it like Big Foot, urban legend thing and blame global warming.

LOL Tom. Always wanted to make a shark fin dog harness. throw the stick in the water and as the dog swims, alls you see is her/his head and a shark fin. Think we talked about it or I even posted it. (A mind is a terrible thing to baste yet I still miss beer, snork)

LOL Happy. I think that is one of the best movies of all time. Makes some great points.

Really stuck on the periscope thing. I posted this some where but think it got lost due to my connection problems of late. But imagine your fishing off a dock or launching a boat. This thing motors up and asks for directions. You point towards the ocean or what ever. It thanks you and heads off. Did I mention I wanted to add a cam and speaker? Not over complicating it or nutton' Now have to figure out how to do all that and get a voice thing to change my voice to Marvin the Martian.

Working on the MB magazine, I was reading up on how to upload and publish to e-readers. One article suggested that MS Word is good to use as a grammar and spell check. But is not "100% full-proof" lol. Think they wanted to say "fool proof" (Which of course, is what I need)

"Make sure that you have proofread your e-book before uploading and converting to digital text. As you may already know, Microsoft Word catches most grammar and spelling errors for you. But, it isn’t 100% full proof, so make sure you have proofread your document at least twice before converting it to a ebook."

I can see it now...I'm fishing off a pier and this thing with a periscope motors up. Then I hear a voice come from within, "Pardon me, do you have any Grey Poupon?"

Har! lol. gonna use that.

Was just thinking. Could make the cowling where the the final lens is, a sort of mesh thing with an image of an eye. Behind that, the speaker and vid cam. Like promotional things on the side of buses and such. Can see out but is an image from out side.

Dan, the Pearly Gates and I are sure to be strangers so I'm open to just about anything.

Think the shark fin would be a one shot deal since if you pulled it off in Fla. on a crowded beach the whole state would be looking for you and they wouldn't stop to buy a new rope so you wouldn't have a chance to escape.

The periscope on the other hand is a stroke of genius. Funny and would not involve flashing lights and people in uniforms with the firm belief that you are a dangerous trouble maker and need to be put away for the public good.

Steve.

LOL Steve. Good point and well taken

In all seriousness, I had not considered how the shark fin/dog harness thing could go bad. Not the first time "I didn't think...." would be heard in court.

(although can see it now. Throw the stick. Dog bounds off into the water. Then scream "My dog is being attacked by a shark!!!" snicker, snork, snork. Yup, I ain't never getting past them gates neither)

Dan, my involvement with flashing light and people in uniform was fortunately for minor incidents. Seems the police never, ever find it as funny as you did.

As for the dog and shark, I feel it would be better to have the shark fin towed behind the dog by about 15 feet. More realistic.
I would also take the dog tags off. You can always report the dog lost to the pound and claim him/her later.
Better still use the neighbours dog.

Steve.
