Predyno 99cc......the ultimate daily cruiser!

Scotto, did you feel the 99cc wouldnt have enough power to use a TAV? I wonder because that looks like an expensive alternative (clutch)

Actually I think the TAV would probably be a good set-up with this engine, my 212cc on the other hand was smokin the belts faster than I could replace them. This clutch set-up is a bit cheaper than the TAV unless you get it from ebay or the likes.

Hmmm....
The seat post tube doubles as the oil catch can and breather.
Great idea! It makes me a little concerned about oily balls though...

I am still trying to figure out how you are getting fuel to the carb from the cylinder head breather though. That's an odd one for sure!

Well I'll tell ya Dan, this engine is so economical that it runs on the smell of an oily rag. On the other hand, the catch can is going to be a rather unique aluminum one hand made by me. Unless I use it for the new and improved Slant that's finally on the way.

Today was another productive one.......started on the new exhaust which is square like the intake manifold. Who say's ya need to build like everyone else? Also finished the throttle linkage, beefed up the seat post, made the idler pulley for the pedal drive chain, installed brake levers and started on the gas tank.

Took a few pics while I was at it.....it's starting to look and ride alot more like a bike now.....

Alright then kiddies, finally winding down on the build.......need more parts. I did install the tachometer, front brake cable, modified the cooling fan and did some wiring. One thing I can say is 6,250RPM and that wasn't pushing it:eek:

Todays pics......

This bike is a lot of fun to ride and it's not even motorized yet.......I've just been pedaling it around lol.

Yea man, nice seat mod, great idea! She looks better without the big honkin' shroud, ever think of switching to rope like Jeff does? Could take the rest of the fins off :p

Ya know Greg, I would love to ditch the big fugly shroud and the only thing that keeps me from doing so is I'm going to be tuging on the thing everyday and my right rotator cuff is on the blink.

On the other hand, it does only take one pull to get her fired up.......

We'll see what happens with that real soon ;)

BTW, Jeff is younger than me and still has muscles in his arms......he's still studly and doesn't mind pulling ropes :D

If they only made billet flywheels for this engine........

Almost sounded like you could hear the the rocker arms rattling, but it is more than likely something else making a rattling noise. Did you change out the exhaust pipe or is that before you made the one you are going to use?

I still need to make the exhaust, the gas tank, rear jack shaft disc brake and install the catch can and throttle cable. I'm working on the gas tank right now, i'll upload pics this evening cuz i've got some errands to run........

pipe looks clinton-est. square intake looks nascar. dont throw that rod bro!

Yeah I know, huh......6,200+ rpm on the near stock engine with no load could be fatal.

Here is one of the quickest and easiest ways to made an aluminum in-frame gas tank.......

where's that TIG welder?

Badass "quick tank" method, love that.

You should add rear tire truing to your list, it looked like it wanted to jump out of the stand there.

Keep up the good work man.

The rear wheel is not out of true, it's out of balance.......it's true as an arrow.

Today I mounted the throttle and the catch can.........you can see the light at the end of the tunnel.........
