Pic Thread: Post pics of your bike or a bike you think is nice!

Thank you so much for posting the Riedel Imme Allen Wrench, I was unaware of such a delightfully simple, unique design: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imme_R100

I haf been edjumacated :D

You're welcome. And thank you for posting the Wikipedia address. I thought the description in the picture I used seemed rather off. It said this Riedel was from the late 30's but Wiki said production started in 1948, which certainly sounds more accurate. I thought I had once been more familiar with them, but things fade sometimes. Either way, I'd still love to get my hands on one. They seem like such delightful little machines. Or...maybe...if I really did my homework, and learned to weld...and found a reasonably close, workable engine type...I think I could be looking at another future project. Ya never know.

This thread is handy. These are the products of a 6th form college as art works, but there's a 16 year old freedom of imagination to them

Just wanted to share this photo of Angelo and his dog. From time to time I see him on my side of the city.

I always stop to talk to him and play with his little dog.

Cool dude, anyways I thought his bike is nice because without it things would be a little more difficult for him.

Dave,
That photo makes me think of the old song, 'Mr. Bo-Jangles'.
Thanks for sharing.

Here's two that fire my rocket. The bike is from Rat Rod Bikes and is screaming for an engine. The Norton is just too cool.

Tom

These are pictures of my first build, 20 inch wheels on a onyx genesis frame stock parts and 36t rear sprocket. Even though i went with the smaller sprocket on this build the bike had a lot of torque which in due time bent the rear forks of the aluminum frame to the left. It was kinda funny though because i kept wondering why i had to adjust my chain so frequently. I'm looking for pictures of my current build as we speak and I'll post pics of that aswell when i do find them. The forks came from a broke down occ stingray along with the bars. The plastic stem spacer was a temporary part that was removed to adjust the stem up past the top plate to mount a bmx head and set of bars. The old handle bar holders (idk what they called them) we're re-renovated to mount on the rear forks with a bar bolted across for a set of rear brakes. The low center of gravity was nice because it kept me in that spirit of bmx i had always been stuck with(by choice).

Thanks! It was very quick at getting up to speed, that bar with the yellow plug was for my trailer hookup. Inexpensive transport of cheap lawn servicing lol! I found one photo of a recent motor build which is on the same frame i'm prepping for a 4 stroke kit. Need better photo's but it has a front mounted fog/headlight, Led taillight and a 12v 7ah lightweight battery mounted to a steel rear rack. That motor worked great for 3 days and busted a ring and the whole top end was just rebuilt. That's why I'm going with a 4 stroke next. My first motor stripped the head bolts and my second locked up. I had just bought it from a dude who does 2 stroke work and had it running fine the day before. His only concern was the idle which i figured was probably an old plug or an intake leak so i wasn't to worried but I really didn't expect it to lock up on the 2-3 turn over.

Sorry to hear of your 2smoker woes! I really like my 4 stroke, though my 2 stroke is a little more powerful. I there existed quality pistons, rings and wrist pin bearings for the 2smokers they would be alot more reliable. If I had the $$ I would like to develop a "longevity" kit for them consisting of the aforementioned parts (and a few more).

Also, a little insight that I have learned here from the pains and troubles of other members... That inner tube sandwiched between the front motor mount and frame tube is not a good idea. It will lead to broken engine mount studs and may even cause the frame tube to crack over time.
Good luck with your 4 stroke build! I am betting that you will like it alot.
