It's kinda heavy Erich, and a really stoopid shape that doesn't unbolt.

Whoever built it was NOT proud of their work... no name on it besides the clamp at the end of the return spring on the boom.
CCC, I'd like to fab a stretched cantilever styled frame with the motor to the rear of the pedals, seating no higher than the rim, and forward pedals like on a townie bike. Probably a foot, foot and a half longer than customary frames, and lower for improved balance and stability, and less wind resistance.
IMO curved lines are more pleasant to look at than angular creations...
Of course it would be cheaper to contract what I need, but I enjoy learning abt things and building something I can use.
I use the LIFO storage system, and changing daily priorities have buried the dies that came with the machine... I can get at the power unit easily, though.
Harry, there's a couple A & P shops near here where they do repair aircraft, but when I called them about tube they acted like I was from Mars.
If I was a few hundred miles south, everything under the sun is available... but freight is a deal killer!
I had considered a couple of sticks of welded tube that was not DOM just to give it a try, but most folks seem to advise against that.
