First race was with a rottweiler sporting a pink bandana. I lost that race by choice to give the owner time to collect her mutt. As soon as I cut the motor, I swear that dog smiled.

Second race was a snot nosed teen on a BMX. He thought he was badass with his rolling downhill start. He was winded worse than an Xgames pro after a 100 ft wipeout. Just wait till it breaks in and I add a mod or two.

There have been plenty of times where guys on road bikes try to race us... some of them are real fast, but most can't keep up with us. :D

i just raced 4 roadies this morning. i stayed at a friend's in Newport Beach, and leaving this morning, i was waiting at the light on PCH. the roadies timed the light and blew passed me when it turned green, and i swear i heard one of them say something not-so-nice, so i caught up to them in about a half-block, blew past them in the traffic lane, doing traffic speeds, and yelled "ON YOUR LEFT..."

i didn't notice if they tried to catch me or not. they were way too far behind after that.

Best one was a roadie that I passed and next thing I know he's right next to me pumping his heart out to keep pace. I signaled him our speed since he didn't have a speedo. He did pretty good until we came to a hill. lol

I left a Dairy Queen a few nights ago, headed home and a blown, big block 32 coupe pulled out behind me. He traveled next to me for a little ways and I looked over, twisted the throttle and pulled away...LOL, my lead didn't last long. Ever hear a jimmy 6-71 scream in your ear from about 10 feet away? :)

I knew a kid who had a Willy's with a blower off a truck, guess it might have been a "jimmy". That thing was nasty, sounded like a 3 way cross between an angry bee hive, a roaring lion, and a fire breathing dragon.

Yeah, I dont like losing to a BMX so I moved my C-clip up from 3rd to 2nd. The plug has been oily black. I'll watch it after running my test loop. I'm at 500ft.

Funny thing about the rottwieler's owner was she commented that she had never seen such a contraption. I said, it's new(MB's) to me too.

Testriding my Tanaka 47R engine, which runs thru 8-speed cassette. I merged onto the highway, alongside a big scooter and a few cars. We all stopped at the light. My bike has 44.26:1 first gear, 33.52:1 second gear and 28.36:1 third gear. That equates to holeshot and extreme acceleration with powershifts to 35mph, my cruising speed.

The scooter and the rest of the traffic passed me by a few seconds later. xct2

Holeshot? 30MPH cruise? Aint happenin for me, not yet. I'm lucky if I top out at 20MPH. I GPS'd my route and 21 was max, but only hit it once in 4 laps.

Tonight, I found a missing clutch cover bolt and another was about to fall out. I ran it with the clip up one notch and it was faster, but the hesitation and jerks were still there. It runs like the ignition is irratic and uneven. Could it be as simple as replace the spark plug wire and cap?

If you're still using the plug wire and plug that came with your kit, then yes, a good ngk or comparable plug and wire will work much better.

You are so right about the hills. That's where a motored bike has its biggest advantage.

Last week I was gave a good friend a demo of my motored bike while he rode his pedal bike. On the flats we rode side-by-side at about 18-20 mph. That required very little throttle since on the flat I can go 32 mph at full throttle.

But for hills, I dropped back to give him a head start and then went up at full throttle. I would fly by him at about 25 mph while he was going about 6-8 mph. At the top I would stop and look back. I couldn't believe how far back he always was! It felt like he was taking forever to climb the hill!

At the end, he said that if I ever wanted to ride together again to give him a call, but don't bring the motored bike!

32 MPH on the flats? Not moi, but I'm still hopeful. I moved my clip the other direction today and it really improved. I throttled up a hill which usually required me to pedal all out. The plug was oily wet after the first clip adjustment, so went the other direction. Time to GPS it again.
