so i guess i was lied to. i never was having anyone coming here, i have to pay to ship the wrong motor kit back to there and more brokage fees and other border fees, to bring the right one back. Gas bike supervisor was very rude and hung up on me stating " its only a 20 dollar difference, and he really went to far by insulting me saying if i live in USA i would not have theses problems, saying that over and over that was his only argument and hes not paying $42 to ship it..... Even more funny the simple gt5 qualifies for free shipping, thats the one i got, the super rat does not which i paid an extra $68 bucks to get shipped to me, so i feel i honestly am being played with by gasbike .net.. I have my credit card company calling them with me and were going to see what they can do. I highly suggest NO canadians should order from this site as you will be paying alot more for a name as it appears, and very poor quality and costumer service. Now i hope they atleast help get my money and fix this broken carboruator along with all the other promblems. SORRY TO RANT but i feel just really sad about this whole ordeal i wish i never sold my old pks they never once had any big problems or shipping erros at zoombicycle. com
Make sure you do things:
1. Contact the California Department of Consumer Affairs and file a complaint. Here is the website:
Complaints - California Department of Consumer Affairs
2. Contact the California Attorney General at this website:
Attorney Generals: Contact Information, Websites and Phone Numbers
3. Contact this website and the other MB site at:
MotoredBikes.com: Motorized Bicycle Forum - Powered by vBulletin . Alert both as to what has happened. Ask them not to accept King's/Gas Bike advertising.
4. Contact your provincial consumer affairs office and provide them the same information you do to the State of California.
5. Send a certified letter where they have to sign for it to King's AND whatever name they use to alert them you will be working with the State of California and your provincial agency from here on out.
6. Keep working with your credit card company and accept nothing less than having UPS come to take the engine back on their dime...if they want to even do that.
For the governmental agencies...make sure that you do this in writing and send copies of everything you've done with this letter. The most important thing is to send it certified with signature confirmation. Make sure you get a name/phone number of everyone you talk to from the company.
I can't promise you anything will happen...but it's been my experience the more trouble you create for companies like this...the more they want you to go away. That may mean doing what they were supposed to do in the first place. Chances are you will get the one-finger salute.
Am sorry this happened to you. I also understand how frustrating it is to you...but as long as you create as much of a stink for them as possible...it means someone steers clear of them.
