so i guess i was lied to. i never was having anyone coming here, i have to pay to ship the wrong motor kit back to there and more brokage fees and other border fees, to bring the right one back. Gas bike supervisor was very rude and hung up on me stating " its only a 20 dollar difference, and he really went to far by insulting me saying if i live in USA i would not have theses problems, saying that over and over that was his only argument and hes not paying $42 to ship it..... Even more funny the simple gt5 qualifies for free shipping, thats the one i got, the super rat does not which i paid an extra $68 bucks to get shipped to me, so i feel i honestly am being played with by gasbike .net.. I have my credit card company calling them with me and were going to see what they can do. I highly suggest NO canadians should order from this site as you will be paying alot more for a name as it appears, and very poor quality and costumer service. Now i hope they atleast help get my money and fix this broken carboruator along with all the other promblems. SORRY TO RANT but i feel just really sad about this whole ordeal i wish i never sold my old pks they never once had any big problems or shipping erros at zoombicycle. com

I dont think its safe for anyone to order from this company. If your lucky youll get what you ordered if not or if theres any problems with parts your out of luck. Are there any trustworthy companys we can buy this motor from?

Make sure you do things:

1. Contact the California Department of Consumer Affairs and file a complaint. Here is the website: Complaints - California Department of Consumer Affairs

2. Contact the California Attorney General at this website: Attorney Generals: Contact Information, Websites and Phone Numbers

3. Contact this website and the other MB site at: MotoredBikes.com: Motorized Bicycle Forum - Powered by vBulletin . Alert both as to what has happened. Ask them not to accept King's/Gas Bike advertising.

4. Contact your provincial consumer affairs office and provide them the same information you do to the State of California.

5. Send a certified letter where they have to sign for it to King's AND whatever name they use to alert them you will be working with the State of California and your provincial agency from here on out.

6. Keep working with your credit card company and accept nothing less than having UPS come to take the engine back on their dime...if they want to even do that.

For the governmental agencies...make sure that you do this in writing and send copies of everything you've done with this letter. The most important thing is to send it certified with signature confirmation. Make sure you get a name/phone number of everyone you talk to from the company.

I can't promise you anything will happen...but it's been my experience the more trouble you create for companies like this...the more they want you to go away. That may mean doing what they were supposed to do in the first place. Chances are you will get the one-finger salute.

Am sorry this happened to you. I also understand how frustrating it is to you...but as long as you create as much of a stink for them as possible...it means someone steers clear of them.

Almost forgot...make sure you include the following in whatever correspondence you use with King's/Gas Bike:

Nationwide Access, LLC
15500 Erwin Street
Suite 1065
Van Nuys, California 91411
US

This is the company listed at the bottom of their emails and is the umbrella organization for this company. Make sure you also read the following complaints from this URL: gasbike.net a/k/a Nationwide Access, LLC. Complaints - NO Customer Service Refuse to Honor Kits Sold
i had a great time ordering from their other company kingsmotorbikes.com , and in that link you just posted the first comment said talk to lorenzo he's great.

and i have to agree, i remember lorenzo by name because of how helpful he was when i was ordering my motor kit from them. helped me straighten out an issue with paypal, then when i asked about the upgrade carb option, he promised to send me the upgraded carb free of charge as an apology for the hold up that they weren't even responsible for, AND made sure they got it shipped out to me that day since i had already been waiting 3 extra days for it to be shipped because of the payment issue with paypal, so he got it shipped that day even though it was 8 minutes until closing for them when i finally got off the phone with paypal.

AND then when i got my motor in the mail, they even gave me a better motor then i ordered, got a grubee GT5 when i ordered the cheap little 80cc jet engine.

of course i'm not in canada so it's a lot easier for us to work with each other.

i'm not saying hes lying but i don't think this is a frequent occurrence with them, and i'm betting the fees for dealing with canada are whats making them hesitant, depending on the profit margins they're making on these things sorting it out could actually make them lose money (that doesn't make it alright, just some food for thought).

I ordered my last motor from Zoom and came with a free shirt and free shipping. It was shipped from Canada to Calif. 109.00 to da door.

To this day it is the best running motor in my fleet.

I would order from them again. Check and see if they have the super-rat.

Friggen nasty chit that is, ship the wrong kit and say you got to send it back on your dime...I'd be fuming. If you paid by CC keep going with your card issuer and see what they can do. I know I have all kinds of purchase protections and added insurance goodies with my CC's no matter if it's a local purchase or an online purchase.

Just got an email back from them. Unfortunately at this time we are completely sold out of all our engine kits. We will not be receiving more in stock until the spring time as it is the off season here right now. Sorry for any inconvenience, please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Don't care for the shirt...thought they only shipped to Canada and the free shipping would be nice...but from what everybody says about them...I would get my next engine from them.

Never been to BC...so if they had them...ROAD TRIP!!!

I think there is some advertising hype there. I was getting Zoom bike brand motors that were with the bigger exhaust ports for a year and a half back now. I think all the motors come that way now.
i think so too. i have a 2009 zoombikes motor and 2 2010 skyhaw motors. and all of them have wide exhaust ports. but for all i know the rat could have even wider ports?

so am I to assume these motor are really all the same and it's just the support and delivery you get from the company you buy it from is the test,...? or do some have better components (carb's and such) than the others,...?
I got a L.E. B. and from what I can tel from most pics the kits looks the same,...
can anyone tell me which engine they like best for my 2nd build,...?
for the bike, I think I wanna go with a 7 speed Cruiser bike (but don't have one picked out yet) and a Jack Shaft,...

Any news on this engine? Did demac get it sorted out. I agree with oldtimer completely. This is a sweet engine, we just need someone like zoom to carry them.

Haven't heard anything from him...but I emailed Birddog in Montana to see if there was any chance of them getting the Super Rat. Here's what the response was:

Unfortunately there is only one company that can import 2 stroke motors to the united states due to certification. We are not currently importing any new 2 stroke motors until all of the certification process is worked out. Please feel free to check back in a couple of months to see where we are at.

Thank you,

Seems like the current selection from almost everybody is dried up at the present. Too bad for all of us...am expecting my tax refund in the next week or so and will be ready to get my next engine. Was hoping to have it broke in by middle of March in time for Spring Break at the schools I sub at.

I seen a gt 5 rat today in the flesh.. by the looks of it it's def a rat all the castings were diffrent colors 2 base gaskets who knows though it could run good it wasnt in a bike. the frt studs were 8mm the rear were the cheap 6mm the bigger frt mount was a reg mount that looks like an 8yr old ground it out with a die grinder kind of like my typing..
