Re: European lightweights

So much wonderful motored bicycle goodness. I only found this thread this morning and now I've read it through completely and I feel like I've OD on wildly addictive old bicycle drugs. Wow!

Perhaps it's time to haul an old lugged diamond frame out from under the house, gather up one of my Villiers engines and proceed to do terrible things to them. .ride3

Re: European lightweights

Do you have a 2 speed 98 there? Ideal for a replica Brit style autocycle. You could always trade bits with Harry76 over in Oz, he's done Vile Ears builds.

Re: European lightweights

No I've only got single speed 98cc Midgets and one sloped finned Atco mower engine (Wish I had more because I like them). I do have a larger pre-war type Villiers single and an Albion gearbox to go with it, but nobody is getting those because they are my precious.......

Precious.....

Re: European lightweights

He's done a bike with the slope fin engine, rather smart, as all his work is.

The pre war, are we talking twin port? If it is, I'm leaving my wife to come and play guitar for you, I could do with a woman in my life with her own tool kit and a twin port.

PS send picture of tool kit.

Re: European lightweights

I do have a pre-war twinport barrel with a piston stuck inside it, but the complete engine I have is a single port. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure that the barrels aren't interchangeable.

Tools? I have ones with interesting names like 'King Dick' and 'Bedford' (not the van) stamped on them along with 'Made in England'. :)
