This bike has 5 gears.
First gear is set up so you take off at perfect power for no pedaling.
So in essence, no pedaling is required. Just relax and let your feet rest on the forward pegs.

There is a feature to this bike that no one knows about yet.

The Bike is equipped with a Kick Start. =-]'
I set up the kick stand to lift the rear tire 1/2" off the ground when in position.
So you just walk up to the bike, turn on the fuel petcock,
raise a pedal to a 45 degree forward, take the throttle, and kick start the bike.
I works very well and looks very cool doing it.

Right on! Pretty cool..but of course! I have tried kick starting my bike a few times by doing the same thing, however my 5spd set up has yet to be able to pull hard enough from dead stop to get it going without bbq-in the clutch, so thus far the pedaling option has always been necesssary! I would be willing to bet, that's 1 of the many GREAT reasons to buy yer jackshaft/shifter set up! So in essence I'm not yet able to set up my cranks as such......but I think I shall.....soon!

Also, I believe that the placement of yer kickstand (which as you mentioned is free of charge to those who purchase yer frame) is also key to the kickstart, as the original location is too far forward, typically bringing the front wheel off the ground instead of the rear (speaking of the original OCC frame that you will hafta purchase & chop up or "recycle", and send specific part's to Brett, to get this frame), so when ya do go to kick it, ya gotta tilt it forward to bring the rear wheel off the ground and then hold the bike there simaltaneously as yer kickin the bike, which in turn has ya wrestlin the balance of the bike to keep the rear wheel up while yer holdin the clutch etc.... So another very cool reason to buy Brett's Bobber frame along with his super cool adjustable jackshaft, & shifter kit!

To those of you out there reading this thread for the 1st time, this guy has done his homework, and has done much R & D, (as he would say...alotta blood, sweat, n gears went into this design) needless to say this bike has been WELL THOUGHT OUT and with all of Brett's parts, a mediocre skill set, and a few weeks in the garage, (give or take) you too could build a similar bike to the 1 you see on this thread!

Like he says in his signature and I quote, "Everything Is Possible...If You Can See Beyond The Invisible",IF being the KEYword in that phrase! Some can, but most can't, & the 1'z who can well, ya know who you are, the 1'z that think they can, well it'll be determined by yer finished product, starting with Brett's Bobber frame etc..., and by those of us here on the forum, and the rest of you, well you should just get yer check book out and be ready to write a heavy 1 so that Brett will consider building you an entire bike! It would be worth every penny I'm sure of it, and it would probably end up being alotta pennies! In conclusion, about the only way I can close is just by saying "BRAVO DUDE",well done, and do us all a favor could'ja, KEEP CREATING!

.xx.
