Arizona Dyno-Glide Build

Thanks guys

I have to say Scotts, Culver and Head Trama build great bikes, they were
a big influence with my builds, It must be their fault !! LOL

Here is a preview of this weekends work line up, Parts for the Trans and

how much would it cost for all those mounts and metal stuff? I've been wanting to do a dyno myself but I don't have access to a machine shop anymore. is anyone selling mount sets for the dyno yet?

You beat me to the question. I like these mounts because they're beefier than the buggy clamps. Not sure "beefier" is entirely necessary, but I'm thinking if I wanted to vertical mount a 212cc predator into one of the these frames, I wouldn't feel secure with a couple #10 bolts holding the whole thing in place (that's the fastener size used in the buggy clamps).

I do make these at work on my own time , My boss lets me make parts for my projects as long as I do not start selling parts, Sorry guy's.

You may check some of the 4x4 sites, Pirate4x4 has links to suppliers that
may have bigger clamps I know I have seen then some where.

Here is the bike sitting on two wheels, the fork is only tacked up right now.
The front tire is about 1/2" away from the bottom of the triple clamp.

that looks awesome!! are you gonna make your own gas tank? A tank that comes with these kits just wouldn't do for your bike. Awesome build though

Yes I'm with you on this one, I will be making a tank out of
.063 sheet metal but it will be one of the last things to make.

man I can't wait till I start making these dyna-glides. Love the look of em. Until then it's just an evil onyx build for me.

Well worked on the bike today so here are some pictures.

Stated out with the brakes front and rear. The front mounting plate
is 3/16" steel plate and the rear started out as 3/4" aluminum plate.

I was going to cut down a rotor like Scott did but it will not work with
my setup the 6" rotor is vary grabby .

Cut and widened rear chain stay so I could install dive chain, I still need to
make the gussets to reinforce.

I needed to modify the top plate by cutting a 45 degree angle to add
a little more chain clearance.

Now I need to figure out the throttle and air cleaner setup.
I can't wait to start this thing up and ride it.

looking good

i know a dyno or two are in my future
nice build following the best of all the leaders

ride safe

Thanks guys , I been wanting a Dyno for a long time.

I have hot dog muffler I bought at a mower shop , the thing is
a little loud for my liking, boy I could use some suggestions on
a different muffler.

Thanks Bill

Well started on the bike today so here are the pictures.

I switched out the stock carb for a AGK slide carb for a cleaner look,
so I had to make a new intake manifold.

Here is the start of the tank. I welded .125 round steel to the edges
so I can get a more rounded edges, Boy this is a lot of work , I hope
it pays off.

Here is a picture of my old tank off my 1977 Schwinn frame ,you can see the sharper corners.

You are one step ahead of me; I just got a PZ19 carb and cone filter today in the mail. Planning on doing exactly as you are with the intake. What thickness are your intake header flanges? I assume you custom fabbed the entire intake manifold.

I used 3/16 cold roll steel, Do you have numbers to make the carb
flange? If you need it, I should still have my numbers for the flange.
Do you have a build thread?
Hopefully I will have the tank done by Sunday , lots of welding to do..weld

Lookin' great Bill! You're gonna love it when it's finished....worth sweatin' all the small stuff (^)
