The original plans were for a straight forward pulse jet and the engine displayed on the bike is this. The preferred design is in fact a hybrid as it demonstrates ram jet characteristics!

LOl pablo 6 gals per mile is really really bad. Meh you may be wasting alot of energies on this concept. but hey why not be the cool kid and have a jet engine huh ? LOL kinda interested in how these engines look/sound and run.

How much ya wanna pay? lol we're aiming to keep the price under $250 to ensure all get to have fun! speed - aiming for a respectable 30-40mph fromt from the twin and probably 20mph from the single
ok man one more question, will these units run on multi- fuels? changing injectors shouldnt be a problem for different fuels. i have to find it but there is an alternative fuel link out there some where that shows you how to make 190 proof alchohol with a couple buckets. no heat involved, called a two bucket still or something. later frank
can you find that link for me, I got a bunch of labortory equip., condensors, pyrex , crap like that, I was going to make astill with it, but I'm sure it could be used for this
I've successfully used methanol, but these engines are looking like they're going to need propane to heat the vaporizer coils first, then you can switch to liquid fuel when you get going. Will need either an atomisation setup i.e propane blowing over a liquid fuel feed or a fuel pump to enable direct injection.
Ain't it funny, when you think your doing something fairly new you find some one who's done it!! None other than JEREMEY CLARKSON!!!

Apparently it is London congestion charge exempt and legal (probably) Theoretical speed of 70mph using a JetCat P-180 model aircraft engine available in model shops for just £1,800 ($2,590.59)

.....and it's 45 LBS! I didn't see range or consumption but still good for the mission. Gets folks used to the idea and free press is never a bad thing. (unless they refer to you as "the accused", "defendant" or person of interest)
the bucket still i saw was on instuctables .com but has been removed. i will try to google up something else later. frank

do a search on turbo prop jet engines there is a place that makes them for model airplanes that really work turbo shaft driven jet bike I'll bet it would need a 55 gallon drum towed behind for a fuel tank
