Well Tom has pestered me into showing my shop, so bear with me here it is in all its cluttered glory

My 20ton hydraulic press w/small arbor press on the side. Cutting/brazing torch, and 1st drill press. Two more drum mounted vices

My Miller CP200 mig welder that I converted over to single phase on the right, and my Miller Syncrowave 250 DX tig welder to the left

Now that didn't hurt a bit did it? Now a lot of guys can enjoy your shop and plan their own perhaps.

And what shop would be complete without a well stocked beer fridge ?? Crap I noticed I got an empty shelf! Better go buy some more beer.

On the other side of the shop is where I keep some of my early 1900’s hit/miss gas engines and where I usually park my 01 Mustang

And last but not least, the outside view with Sally off to the right. Shop is 35’ wide by 30’ deep with 10’ ceiling on main level. Upstairs is 16’ wide by 30’ deep with 8’ ceilings. I built shelving upstairs for my parts storage.

Do you have tooling for the hardy and pritchel holes?

No tools for the holes, however I do have all the makings for a complete blacksmith set up. I have my wife’s grandfathers forge blower as well as the forge fire box. Hope some day to get it set up and start smithing.

Dang Curt you and I gave up having TOO much fun about the same time! Actually I'm having way more fun now and remembering it as well.

It got to be no longer fun, that we thought it was. And yes way more fun now, more time, more money. I am on my 5th motorhome, trading up, the one I have is a 08 bought 5 years ago, put 40,000 miles on it. We just had our 60th anniversary, so will keep going as long as I can. I have stopped and seen a couple members on the forum. My biggest thrill was in Huntington Beach, half a dozen guys and there bike. Derelict donut shop, from the forum.

I remember you posting about that great trip Curt and yeah life changing stuff.

I got nothing against alcohol, not preaching here, but it was time to stop for me,lol past time.

I gave up the hard stuff in July of 83 after drinking a quart of whiskey every day, and being sick in bed for over a week with alcohol poisoning. Stayed sober for 35 yrs, still am, but I do enjoy a good beer after work. Difference now is I can walk away from beer, but I’ll never touch the hard stuff again.

That problem went through my family. Dad escaped being caught in it but his father and three brothers were. Grand dad and one uncle were able to escape but my other two uncles didn't. My brother and I saw the problem and were careful.The cost here in Canada will cripple you financially.

I was worse, ended up with saroses' of the liver, and in treatment, best thing that ever happened to me. Thank the almighty for that. Soooooooo, thankful for second chance.............Curt

The overall ambiance, spaciousness, and utility of your shop OB is what makes it. The bench out front. Dude!
A reefer stocked with malt beverages, is just icing on the cake. I got to trudge up to the house to get a fresh one.
I take the hard stuff for what it is, medicine, and everything in moderation.
And I got a Doc that monitors my liver function. Sigh!

Friday looks to be a wet one.
Shop time.
Last week, I tried to split a block of aluminum with a .032 slitting saw blade. Instead of making multiple passes to give the saw a guide slot to follow.I went full depth. Assuming the blade would track true, wrong.
Never knew there was a problem until the blade broke. The blade had wandered more than 1/16".
New blades that size a $60 a pop. My retirement income being mostly out go has me unto a perfectly fine plan B
