Thanks Tom, The vertical mount would be a challenge in this bike frame to begin with. So I’m still contemplating that idea.
When ever I look for something I hold my breath then click on it because about 60% of the time it says, Sold Out.

There are a bunch of welded in engine mounts in various builds on this and the other forum. Curt for a old fAArt has a link to just about everything. Must be the long winters he endures that give him time to collate all his links. Me?
I got three 3x5 ring bound note pads pretty well packed. Nothing collated. My secretary quit cuz I wouldn't give her a raise.

Non topic but what the hey. Our Township does garbage collection and some recycling. Very cost effective. I used to pay trash collector company $80 per month. Using Rubicon Township, never more than $8. Usually less.
Local metal junk man keeps a trailer there. He used to hang around his trailer to thwart our recycling his trailer contents.

Today i scored a box of Harley cast offs. The most identifiable was the triple tree handle bar riser. Solid aluminum
Bunch of in the bag S n S parts and wiring kits, SS trim strips. A steel fixture likely for fork leg mod's.
I'll lay it out on the drive for Danny or who ever to ID when I get round tuit.
Still flipping hot, no rain. Spring was cold and no rain. Already have seen places corn plants are past stress, and browning.

we have had so much rain I have lost money. I know it won’t last here however. But everything is green and growing like crazy.

What are you doing for a living, that rain holds you back?
We are now in drought mode. High ground corn is dying. Second crop hay is still iffy even on middle ground.
Last three months, less than three inches of rain. Most of my family is Dairy.

I own a lawn and landscaping business. Worked and lived in the big city for 25 years. Started off working in a computer parts warehouse. Got promoted to computer operator & then spent about 13 years as a C++ programmer.
i’ve since given up the city life and the corporate life. moved to the country about 10 years ago. My parents have a nice little 22 acres with a creek running through the property. i’ve built a house on one side, and my sister and my parents built their houses on the other side of the creek.
it was culture shock when I left the big city after 49 years. After 10 years of living in the country I would never go back. I really enjoy my privacy here. Hunting a few hundred yards away, bonfires as Big I want to build them and outdoor pissing lol.
and since the rain has stopped, I am going out mowing 4 yards today. I have 4 more to catch up on after the rain, but the private gated lake community will Not allow service workers in on Sunday’s.
I do hold a little part time job at the local church. Maintenance and cleanup. Works out well for me as they decrease my hours in the summer and increase them in the winter.
Things are growing like it’s spring around here!!!
Be 80 in Oct. so memory is also so slow now, but there use to be a lot of venders that made mounts, that have disappeared. Wolf is gone, Phantom, and a lot of others that made parts. What I don't understand is CNC you put the metal in and push buttons? Out of stock, program is always there.
If it were me I would just bolts the motor to a plate, prop it up like streetrodder does, and just build it. Just makes sure every thing is in line, like chain and wheel. Like I did years ago brace and bit, hand hack saw, and big files. LOL Like Rick does some times. Thank God for some tools now. .........Curt

Soon as school was over, they loaded me on a train for LaCrosse,WI where older cousins picked me up and delivered me to grandpa. Spent the whole summer that year cultivating tobacco, milking 8 cows, mowing hay.
Grandpa by the had traded for a WD Allis Chalmers which did not have live PTO. Didn't matter, his mower was a horse drawn vintage machine. levers for sickle bar pitch, foot lever to raise and lower the sickle bar. I rode on it. If ya ever seen Amish mowing hay. Think of me behind a WD. Grand dad blew a head gasket in 1967. I miss him still.

My city raised wife has never gotten used to all together.
Since I sold my partnership in a 36 unit apartment complex in 1992 and bought a house on a acre sandwiched by grain fields and cow pastures.
And then in 2006 to two acres in Rubicon. Only thing different is Mona won't have chickens now.
In Illinois, I raised mixed flocks. Not a good idea, they go about their business but they don't speak the same language. That would be a great Doctoral Thesis.
Last two years flocks were our favorite. Bantam Speckled Sussex.

Lol Tom, I just got in to raising chickens in the last year. Started out with 10, three roosters. Found a home for the roosters and added 6 more hens from a friend who was dying. 13 hens have been reduced to five. A hawk got one, and the coyotes have gotten real brave around here. I’m armed and the last coyote I saw was back stepping into the woods as I came out of the garage with an ar-15. Right now I owe the coyotes!!!!
But damn I have farm fresh eggs. Organic feed free range when they’re not being targeted. I have so many eggs I have to give a bunch away. I’ve thought of selling them but I’m just not patient enough or home enough waiting on people to show up to pay me three or four dollars for a dozen eggs. Got a bunch of friends that enjoy organic free range eggs.
back to country life, I don’t think I do very well trying to be a real farmer or rancher. A lot of work involved. I already have two jobs lol. My girlfriends 11-year-old daughter would love a horse. My sister and brother-in-law just got rid of theirs. The only problem with the 11-year-old wanting the horse is I will be the one feeding it come 20° temperatures or 100°. Barn and horse stall already ready. I should man up and do it but damn!!! This is why I own cats, they’re independent and don’t need a whole lot of attention lol
we’ll see what the future holds, I’m definitely going to get some goats to trim my yard down so I don’t have to mow it !!!! Right after I put up a no climb fence to keep the coyotes away...
it’s harsh out here in the country, saw two snakes yesterday. Had to get one out of the chicken coop. Grabbing a snake by the tail, fun times !!!
Only snakes here a Garter Snakes. Son in NC, yard is crawling with Copper Heads. Ground regularly mowing.
Varmint control around here is .22 only, except the time I rolled a boar coon with a .410 in the driveway.

and yes I’m well aware of donkeys for protection, first time I’ve heard about llamas. It’s wild out here where I live, we’re making the best of it. A shotgun and I know climb the fence would go along way.
6/13 Driving Miss Mona. Did the Kettle Moraine route again. driving on the Esker ridges in summer foliage belies the glacial clefts. This route with my 1979 BMW R80/7 would be fun. Bloody Bambies crossing critical curves, not good. Saw one.
