The eBay seller did get back to me. The China made forks are 1”, so they would fit

Forgot to mention my father, who passed back in August, has a very old oxygen acetylene torch. My mother told me to come get it.

so I have really upped my fabrication tools since this thread started. I’m guessing with a flux welder, oxy acetylene torch, angle grinder and table top vice I can get a little more creative.

Danny, the MBrebel fork is the conolmotorsport fork. Lynn will buy a sample to add to her list and sell it. It then becomes "Out of Stock". The price is the give away. Welding on fork braces would get you where you want to go, appearance wise.

One closer inspection, The lower triple tree seems to be different on the two models.

Here you go, a classic Schwinn with all the right designs already built in. Vintage Bicycle 1950 Schwinn - bicycles - by owner - bike sale (craigslist.org) Actually this one is too expensive since it is not all original. But a great start for a motorized bicycle.

I did not think of this earlier, but watch the Dallas Craigslist, it has the entire DFW area on it. Lot of classics float across that site on a monthly basis.

I have been searching craigslist for about two or three weeks. Those two have been on there for that long. although they’re really nice vintage bikes that’s a little more than I wanna spend on my first one right now. I do appreciate you pointing those out however.

Since you have a welder do not forget to look at the women's bikes, it only takes adding the top support bar. The women's bikes are also usually cheaper.

And there are way more girls cruisers than men’s. Been looking at those too, but the huffy is due on March 19th.

Feeling confident enough in my welding skills to build a bicycle rack for the back wheel out of some old rebar I had laying around.

I’m not really following what you’re saying. Is there a picture of what you’re talking about?

I was thinking about cutting some 3/4” pipe in half and adding those to the top of the bar. That way the bike frame could rest on them, padded of course.

still in manufacturing so I’m taking ideas, LOL

Girls bike consist of 2 drop loops upper and lower, they drop form head tube ( fork tube ) to bottom bracket ( sprocket housing). Cut the top one out then add top tubes like a boys frame...........Curt

sorry, now I follow. Didn’t realize you were talking about a girls bike. I was talking about my bike stand lol

Does anybody know the rear frame distance on a huffy Cranbrook?

this Iberia bike stand shows with the 6 1/4 inches.

So I based it on 6 1/2 inches wide, I can change it if I need to.

one leg is a little longer, that’s an easy fix. Cross ties or just tack welded. I ran out of daylight.
