I have the ability to see dead people from my childhood.

It's not spiritualism.

I just turn on the "classic" TV channels.

Do what I can Tom. I wonder where the racers and the cars are today.

Well, I was one of them and I'm right here. My 33 Ford was in Miami the last time I saw it. I sold it in 65 just before I went in the Air Force. I hope it survived.

There are still quite a few of the older cars and some are still racing. The Nostalgia Racing is popular and a lot of old timers are involved, cars and drivers.

Your welcome. It was an amazing time when the supply of old cars and big engine was plentiful and rules hadn't be refined to the point it took large amounts of money to race.

The drag racing scene here used to be very much based on what folk built in their own garages at home because the high dollar stuff simply wasn't available and nobody could afford it if it was. I was fortunate enough to see the very end of those times before the big dollar boys began to dominate and some of those homebuilt cars had a lot of innovative ideas too. Good memories.

Thanks again, Steve.
I had to chuckle at the hole in the piston of that hemi roadster. Must have been some early attempts at burning nitro.

Gee, I got a lot of paint on hands & glue fumes up my nose
building models of slingshot rails & '50s hot rods. Brain damage,
probably explains why I mess with motored bikes when I could
just buy a motorcycle with far less aggravation.
