You might not have noticed the new Honda valve cover......it is much nicer than the stock Pred cover. The beauty of this cover is that instead of a hole in the cover for the rubber breather hose, this one has a welded on nipple.

The big difference is you don't have oil coming out from this area of the cover. No matter how well I sealed the hose where it goes into the valve cover (not sealed from the factory mind you), oil would somehow find it's way through and cause a little mess after time.

Thank you for the additional photos of the intake manifold fitment and the great tip on the Honda valve cover. I wonder if the Honda cover will also fit on the new 79cc Preddys...

I was just about to ask if the valve cover would fit the 79cc preddy, but looks like you answered that question. lol Where would one purchase a honda valve cover to fit the 79cc preddy?

Sry for the silly question but I am just now getting my feet wet in the world of 4 strokes.

Also, does it matter if the engine is mounted vertically or not? I will be mounting mine horizontally....

They are made to be mounted horizontally. Members here have learned that they can also be mounted vertically for frame clearance issues or visual appeal... or both.

Speaking of valve covers.......look at the new idler pulley made from a Noram clutch driver. Was riding home in the cold dark last night and the idler came off and threw the primary chain somehow.

I ran out of skateboard wheels, but have plenty of clutch drivers......problem solved ;)

Well ok, and not to sound rude.

Last time i checked he didn't make these clamps for a living. and could not, via his employer. he also made these as a "one off" and he may or may not have the prints for it.

So knowing that, I would suggest you fabricate your own mount accounting for your bike, and its exact specifications or, buy someones bike that looks like the one you want.

If I had these mounts to sell, I'd trade you a set for a 99cc Pred engine. Fortunately for you, my bud Steve found one more set and gave it to me for my next race build so there are still none available that I know of. Kinda like the 99cc preds.....gettin scarce. ;)

Sorry I can't help anyone out with these clamps.......they truly are bomb-proof. And then some.

You're right, I never did say what size sprockets I am using cuz it's top secret. The gear ratio is 12:1. Do you want too know what size sprockets I use with the jack shaft to get that ratio? Of course you do :D

Here is what I use, a cheetah 2-disc clutch w/13t driver to an agk 26t......then an 8t off the j-shaft to a 48t rear sprocket. It ain't rocket science, but it works for me.
