Heavy duty lay back posts

looking at what you have going on behind the seat, I can see that you may not be able to get real far back or real low with a post but I can drill and thread a hole in the end of the post so you can use that as a mounting point for the rack?.. just a thought.

thanks man and yeah, that may be an option but i may go a different route all together and just fabricate a tank of my own from an old juice can or something, i want some kind of rack in the back so i can add baskets for hauling groceries and such like (i'm looking at the Wald folding baskets) and so if i can figure a way to mount the rack so it mounts to the frame rather than the seat then maybe i'll have more options.

...this is why i need a little time to figure s h i t out, lol. (it won't be long though because i am VERY unhappy with the current setup)

I'm a nube with a 49cc china girl in a Macargi stealth. Your the man I'm lookin for when it comes to laid back posts. Im in love with the double bend one. How do I order?
 
high man, i wanted you to know i got my new seatpost today and i couldn't be happier, it is everything i'd hoped for and i thank you for it, you do excellent work, kudos for doing such quality work for such a reasonable price.

...i'll post up a picture after i get the new fuel tank and redo the rear of my bike.

Thanks SB. These started out as something that I wanted on my bikes and kind of snowballed from there on another forum and on ebay. As for Palo, we have enjoyed living in such a sleepy little town but it is pretty stressful living 1 mile from the river. Just this weekend had flood threats again and had to go into panic mode. River did not crest as high as projected but the potential for disaster has me considering a move.

If you are ever in need of a post just give me a shout!

My suggestion would be 75-80 degree bend angle if you wanted the post to be level with the ground. 90 degree will angle down towards the rear tire after it is installed due to seat tube angle in the stock frame. As for the length of lay back.. I would have to see what clearence you have or you can provide me wit a measurement. I would be happy to help however I can. Thanks!

Working on a gt2a frame build. Only need about an inch and a half between the bend and before it gets turned down from 1". Looks like it would be about a 75 degree bend. is that do-able?
